With the 1st pick of round 3 of the 2024 National Draft, Richmond selects CHARLIE NICHOLLS

Position: Tall forward

Size: 197cm

Clubs: Central District/Min-Man

This guy has lots of fans at AFL club level, mainly around his incredible pack marking ability, as well as his size and athleticism. Nicholls burst onto the scene at the start of the season, booting 13 goals from his first six SANFL Under 18s games. He then put on a breathtaking marking display against Vic Country, but was inaccurate in front of goal. After booting 2.5 from three games as a forward, Nicholls showed off his versatility by playing behind the ball and quickly adapted to the role, finishing with 10 disposals and six marks (four intercept) against Vic Metro. Post-champs, he’s had exposure at SANFL reserves level. One to watch.

Over to you, Nor... oh.

Carlton swiftly matches the bid for Lucas Camporeale

With pick 46, Richmond selects Jaxon Artemis (South Fremantle)
Defender | 187cm | 27/07/2006

Artemis has somewhat gone under the radar across both trials but looms as an effective rebounder to slot into WA’s backline. He took on some of the kick-in duties and looked to utilise the length of his passes to break over the back of Claremont’s setup. Among an array of kick-first defenders, Artemis looked quite composed and polished before getting a late run up on the wing.

Savage Kent Adelaide is up

With pick 50 in the National Draft, Bulldogs select tall backman Adrian Cole from the Saints NGA Academy

gringo2011 does St Kilda wish to match?

No, I'll take the pick back into the draft. Obviously we'd make it up with junk time picks but I'm using the pick.

Pies take Ned Bowman, another tall forward who took one of the best hangers you'll see from a young tall. Also a very nimble type for his size. Could be a Jeremy Howe type who settles down back eventually.

Pick 52 St Kilda take Jack Ough. He's a hype player right now but for good reason. Had a some big numbers in recent matches and is a proper bolter. He's a big 194 cm midfielder. Can play inside and outside. He could be anything so have passed over a few I would have taken with this pick hoping he turns into a Bont type.

Suns will select Angus Clarke from Glenelg. Medium sized defender who took the kick outs for SA at the Champs and challenges the opposition with his dash and dare.

I'll update the OP tonight

gringo2011 with Collingwood again!
