Do you know if this home final (assuming Sandy finish 2nd) will actually be at TBBO or whether they'll play it at North Port like the VFL has a tendency of doing?

Sverik...my understanding is the final would be at TBBO should we finish second. Paul Hudson indicated as much when talking to the players after the game

McCartin and White not named. The Dees brought Jake Spencer (12 marks, 4 goals last week) into the AFL team, so looking a little less daunting for Lewie Pierce (than a Jamar / Spencer opposition would have been).

The zebs weren't great last week, despite some good performances from a number of Sandringham-listed players, and need alot more talent from the Saints side of things to challenge the better VFL teams. Not sure what the plans are with end-of-season player management. On Cockie (all the other zeb regulars seem to be playing):

Cockie could be ready for the first week of finals I'm told. Been doing oxygen chamber to speed up the process. Just hope he doesn't rush it and cause further damage.

its been fun talking about how Sandy is doing this yr and seeing the Saints listed players play.
Times this x 10 when they are wearing red, white & black and playing out of Moorabbin in a couple of yrs.

A few observations about Sandy's last quarters this year:

This year, Sandy have won 15 of 18 fourth quarters.

The Zebs have scored a total of 83.83 (581) to their opposition's 44.23 (287). That means Sandy have a percentage of 202.4% in last quarters, and this could have been even better had they kicked straighter (166 scoring shots to just 67).

In 6 matches, Sandy have been behind at 3QT and have gone on to win the match. Whereas, when they are in front at 3QT, they are unbeaten.

This means that in the finals, while they won't want to give their opposition much of a start, if Sandy are within striking distance at three quarter time, the opposition had better watch out! And if Sandy are in front, good luck catching them.

Solid backup for Lonie & Sinclair.

I'd also keep Minchy & Marky for another year aswell.

Yeah I just read last night membrey is done. I added hugh and holmes for the second week. I figured they wouldnt play pierce if they had holmes and hickey and wouldnt need delaney if they had hugh, le grice and shakalis. But with lee done for the year they might. There are a few other sandy players that could make it, noone and grace and verma but they haven't impressed me as much as the others recently. Curren and cockie might both be back round 2 of finals too. Not sure of their injury status.
