I'm thinking of getting Knights into my team, however don't know who (if anyone) to trade. Should I trade for him and who, or is there a better option?

N.Riewoldt
Franklin
Green
T.Varcoe
Higgins
A.Krakouer
Gamble
(Callinan, Mzungu, Isaac Smith)

129.7k in the bank.

That's pretty easy mate. I would have no hesitation to trade out Krakouer, Varcoe and Gamble, or even Higgins if you don't want to take a risk on a 300k injury prone player

If it were me, I'd be looking at Varcoe.

I don't believe his much-hyped 15-20 ppg increase will be a given in 2011.

Forwards are really doing my head in this year... Any help would be appreciated!

Gamble vs Knights
Sylvia (in hope for a big season) vs Chapman

Mitch Duncan 281K??? fwd/Mid Would you consider a swap for Krak or Vespremi 200/214K

Can you rephrase the question? Are you asking who's the better option out of Duncan/Krakouer/Vespremi? If so, Krakouer would be my pick, despite Duncan's good showing against the Roos/Dogs.

1. Knights.

2. Too hard to compare the two with a $140,000 price difference between them. IMO, everyone should have Chapman & Riewoldt @ F1/F2, then two of Buddy, Didak, Boomer, Pavlich, Brown, Green, Rioli, Goodes, Gia, Gilbert, Riewoldt, Sylvia or Waite at F3 & F4, depending on your stratgey/line-up.

So, in essence, they are a different 'category' of player. Chapman's an ultra-premium (i.e. could play in anyone's midfield), Riewoldt/Buddy/Didak are super-prems (will get you 90+ per week, 90% of the time) and Boomer/Pavlich/Brown/Green/Goodes are premiums (will get you 80+ per week, 90% of the time). The rest either had a good 2010 (jPod, J.Riewoldt, Grundy), are slowing down their scoring from previous years (ROK, Stevie J*), are ready to burst into that premium/super-premium scoring bracket (Cyril, Sylvia, Varcoe), or have just plateaued in terms of SC scoring ability (Gia, Gilbert).

The rest of the $400,000+ forwards are hard to categorise. Someone like Cloke especially, because he could go one of three ways this year in terms of SC scoring. If he were to get his goal kicking accuracy sorted, he could legitimately maintain a 95-100 ppg average. Then again, who's to say that he won't drop back down to an 80-85 ppg average, or even maintain his 2010 average, if other Collingwood players step-up?

So anyway, my point is, you can't compare Chapman and Sylvia when considering one spot, and really there's nothing stopping you from having both (like me :)) :thumbsu:

Any thoughts on Gilbert this year? He doesn't seem to be any good FWD as his score against Geelong suggests (34 SC from fanfooty.com). What are the chances the saints will scrap this stupid move and put him back where he plays best (DEF)? I have him in at the moment but if they insist on playing him FWD I reckon the $450500 could be put to better use.

You have pretty much answered your own question Defender :thumbsu:(not the best, but passable), Forward .

I will think about having both Krakouer and Duncan, although it remains to be seen how Duncan will score with Chapman, Kelly, Bartel, Ling, etc, all in the side. He looked the goods against St Kilda, though.

Surely there are safer bets/players with higher upside than Gilbert at $450,000.

I think Duncs will play most of the year. Obviously with those names to come in he will start FWD but will probably rotate through the midfield.

Do you rate C. Dawes from Collingwood?

He had a cracking rd1 NAB performance, but are there better options for $364k?

I'm trying to find my very last mid range player and had Dawes in there but with Collingwood having so much depth im not so certain. Will he play every week?

Any help would be much appreciated.

He will play every week. Although it's highly unlikely he will score as much as you need week in week out from a keeper

Dawes = no, sorry mad pie supporter but as a supercoach player goes much better options available, try dangerfield, leon davis (especially as a half back), higgins or spend 140K or less and upgrade elsewhere.

IMHO
