Re: SC Trading Thread - 2010

i hav a major dilemma and would love a second opinion on trading...

my two considered are:
MacDonald to Harry O'Brien - D4 position.
Nason to Silvagni - D9 position.

should i be doing both either or neither? (20 trades in hand)

Big no. Both sideways and your team is likely to be no better off.

Re: SC Trading Thread - 2010

Three trade ideas are floating around my head

Option 1 - stick with Hill & Tippett and accept I picked them for a reason
Trade 1 - Hill to Seaby, Tippett to Buddy
Trade 2 - Tippett to Petterson or Rockliff and keep 300k to upgrade Masten

Leaning towards 2

Reason I didn't orginally go Buddy was because his season started with suspension, Scarlett & Lake. My main concern now is Tippett and the crows have looked horrible were as the hawks look like have a great year once a few guys are fit.

Any suggestions?

thanks

Re: SC Trading Thread - 2010

Can anyone tell me when the prices of players are due to change, is it after this weeks lockout or do we have another week?

Prices change after a player has played their third game.

So yes, for most players, it will change this week.

For the Franklins and McVeighs who missed round one, as well as the Presti's and such that missed last round, as well as players getting dropped this round, their prices won't change until they play their third game.

Players prices start changing after the player has played three game. So for most players their price will change at the end of round 3, but for example Buddy Franklin's price will change at the completion of round 4 as he missed round 1. :thumbsu:

EDIT: beat me to it Thomas, just ;)

After this weekend all players that have played 3 games will change price.

Re: SC Trading Thread - 2010

out: tippet
in: rioli

is this crazy?
Not crazy, but pretty silly, your going from 1 inconcistant player to another. Hang on to Tippett he is playing Melbourne this week and needs to prove him self, if the crows win (which the will) i see him scoring a 110.

Re: SC Trading Thread - 2010

i probably should have made it an open ended question.

tippet's first game wasn't so bad, just a bit off target (was it 3 goals 5 he kicked or something like that?). however if he is playing the ruck role, and is coming up against jamar who is smoking it at the moment, we could see tippet drop another 70k.

rioli had a good preseason until he injured himself late jan (is that right). he looked the goods on monday too.

thoughts? it can't be as crazy as buster gonad choosing didak over roo last year.

he kicked 1.4...:thumbsdown::thumbsdown:

personally gonna keep Tippett but if you still feel uneasy then have a look at dangerfield or bballantyne both will average just as much as rioli or even more...and ll give u some cash

Re: SC Trading Thread - 2010

Out: Jolly
In: Seaby or Naitanui

Thoughts - everyone here suggest Seaby, who is probably a safer bet.
But, I'm thinking of going against the grain and go for Naitanui who average 80 in losing teams. Naitanui got so much upside. He'll have his ups and downs, but it will be a fun ride.

What do you guys think?

no Kruzer??..i would go Seaby only if hes a keeper which i am yet to be convinced

Re: SC Trading Thread - 2010

Any thoughts on my possible trades?

Option 1
Clark --> Kruezer
Tippett --> Dangerfield
This leaves me with about 180k for future trades.

Option 2
Clark --> Kruezer
Warren --> Dangerfield
Leaving me only 10k left over

Option 3
Clark --> Seaby/Naitanui
Tippett --> ROK

I'm leaning towards option 1, I can downgrade Warren the week after and then have a lot of money to upgrade.

Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks :thumbsu:

Re: SC Trading Thread - 2010

Option 1

Ball - > Judd. Sit Judd on the bench for a week and not lose dollars on Ball this round

I have 156,000 in the bank to do this straight swap

Option 2

Tippett - > Brown

I can only do one straight swap, and only wish to use 1 trade to get a keeper. I am leaning toward option 1. Thoughts?
