Re: SC Trading Thread - 2010

Decision time

Do i trade goodwin & Martin for Malceski & Cooney this week?

currently sitting about 950th averaging 2355
 Why would you be trading Martin after rd 2 when his price hasn't even risen yet. Wait until at least round 8-10 before upgrading him and that way you will be trading him at his greatest value and benifiting most.

fair point on the upgrade value, but cooney will also go up as will malceski.

if cooney and mal get 230 between them on av per week and martin and goodwin get 170 on average, if i wait another 6 weeks thats 360 points i go without???

Re: SC Trading Thread - 2010

What are the better trade options? Want to get rid of tippett for brown, to do it I have three options in my mind. Open to other suggestions

Hall out, Ballantyne in. Bank 16 300

Grey if unfit out (Good news in paper today that he should play this week), Dangerfield in. Bank 36 100

Kennelly out (strong bench options currently in maguire and waters), Silvagni in. Bank 156 500

What do people think?
Personally i have been thinking about the Silvagni in to upgrade another player and still have money on the bench. If i was you i would either go with that option or hall out for ballantyne although i dont think he will be super consistant all season. Not expecting a lot from him this week against the cats. How do you think brown will go all season, Brisbane havent played any good teams and i think besides fev and magurie havent recruited that well. When they arent playing well hard to see him getting huge scores.

Re: SC Trading Thread - 2010

Is it too early to jump off Boomer and on JB. Boomer will bounce back from that 11, but JB's form is too good to resist. Decision time...............

Re: SC Trading Thread - 2010

TRADE OPTION 1: OUTS-jolly, williams
INS-seaby, brown

rucks-ryder, seaby
forwards-roo, rok, franklin, brown, tipet, murphey, hitchcock

TRADE OPTION 2: OUTS-jolly, tippet
INS- nic nat/ottens

Rucks ryder, nic nat/ottens
Forwards: roo, rok, franklin, brown, williams, murphy, hitchcock

note: saving tadgh kenelly for a judd trade as have waters and silvagni already on my bench.

Re: SC Trading Thread - 2010

Probably be trading out B.Shepphard this week and thinking either Waters or Goose?

Thoughts?

Waters - provided he is fit, will be a key in west coasts rebound defence style, will also cash up a treat.

IMO (currently sitting 960 averaging 2355)

I think Option 1 is a real winner.

Option 1
In: Kreuzer & Malceski
Out: Hille & Macdonald

Option 2
In: Kreuzer & Silvagni, $200,000 (Will put Maguire on the ground then).
Out: Hille & Macdonald

Option 3
Leave as is and hope Macdonald & Hille come good. Worried that Malceski still won't be a keeper and Kreuzer might not.

Re: SC Trading Thread - 2010

I would give you advice but I have a similar situation also having macdonald.
Im ranked currently 3,000 and something and my only concerns are tippett macdonald and ben warren. also hurn suspended but ill keep him in with good bench cover

should i downgrade tippett or macdonald and who to?
and who should i upgrade warren to? danger? murphy?

Option 3 mate. MacDonald will surely come good.

For me

OPTION 1
Downgrade Ball and Upgrade Hall to J Brown

OPTION 2
Downgrade Masten and Upgrade Hall to J Brown

OPTION 3
Hope Masten and Ball average 80+ and 85+ repectively

Which one guys?
Cheers:thumbsu:

Re: SC Trading Thread - 2010

I went Tippett to Seaby, then Lachie Henderson to Byrnes. Something tells me the delivery to Tippett is not likely to improve.

I have been thinking about it - I have Clark and Tippett (mpp), but leaning towards keeping them and saving my trades. Still not convinced on Seaby.

I could trade Clark for Seaby and upgrade Tippett to Brown and still pocket $110K for future upgrades. Does anyone think that would be the way to go or not??

Any help would be appreciated

Re: SC Trading Thread - 2010

Not liking Warren as my 7th forward or Hille and Clark as my rucks, also not happy with Ball or Tippett. Thinking of something like:

Option 1: Clark -> Kruezer and Warren -> Dangerfield

Option 2: Warren -> Rockliff bringing Carl Peterson off the bench as my F7 and Hille -> Kruezer

Or anything else.

Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks :)

Re: SC Trading Thread - 2010

Need help.
Average score so far 2150 or so.

However, I have a dud in my side.

Will Thursfield (don't ask)

I'd like to Trade Malceski in. Is this right move?

Assuming it is, I need to trade out someone else to release cash.
These are (some) of my options.

Chris Masten
Ryan Hargrave
Brett Deledio
David Hille (maybe too much to ask coming back from his knee?) -> Seaby?

I'm loath to trade out Hargrave or Deledio, as I picked them as keepers, but so far they haven't really performed.

Suggestions / Options?

Re: SC Trading Thread - 2010

i would say chuck ziebell... just though... hall with more potential for massive scores but ziebell will probs be more consistant

Waste of 2 trades if you ask me... warren is better than peterson for job security AND season av.

Why did you pick clark and hille?? because they have both been premiums..

back you selections for a bit longer mate.

or trade! haha

Hille>Seaby looks to be the thing that has the most current upside. The other trades you could look at simply don't seem worth it.(although Lids>Cooney could work)

option 2 for sure as it gives you more cash. Are you sure about starting maguire instead of silvagni?

Re: SC Trading Thread - 2010

Clark, I thought was the second best SC ruckman behind Sandi available this year. I didn't think sharing ruck time with Luenburger would effect his average as it would allow him to find more of the ball playing as a loose man down back like he did at times last year.

I didn't really want Hille in my team, but gave in so I could spend more money in other areas of my team. I didn't expect him to become a keeper but to average at least 75ppg which i still think he could do later on in the season with more game time.

As for Ben Warren, he was a poor selection on my behalf. Trade him in at the last minute because I didn't want to be starting a forward rookie (in hindsight would have been a better idea) I don't think Peterson/Rockliff will average too much less in the early stages of the season before their upgraded. By downgrading Warren it gives me an extra 160k to spend upgrading my team.

Just my thoughts. Thanks for the response.
