What do people think?

To get Brown

Out: M Farmer In: A Silvagni + $
Out: K Tippett In: J Brown

wanted to trade Hille for Seaby and then Tippett for Brown but I'm 5K short

I could just give Tippett more time and trade Hille for Seaby or Kreuzer

any suggestions??

Most common trade this week... Tippett

I myself am considering it, but my version is:
Kennelly -> Silvagni
Tippett -> Brown

Trouble is, with Shaw now on my bench (injured) I would have to play Silvagni on field.

The rush with Tippett is we all want to jump off him before the price changes.

Re: SC Trading Thread - 2010

Changed my thinking a little from yesterday's Hurn-> Ladson/Hunt/O'Brien plans.

Now planning on this:

Walker-> Peterson
Hall-> Brown

Other alternatives are Medhurst and Warren, but they're a better chance of being consistent than the bigger blokes. Of course if Tippett goes down then Tex Walker will have more to do.

Thoughts?
I like this trade munk3ymark. I'm really worried that Barry couldn't score more than 46 points in a thrashing of Richmond. You get a gun (Brown) and a great cash cow (Peterson).
I want to get both these players in this week too, but haven't decided what to do yet.

a) Harvey & Hall ---> Peterson & Brown (end up with about $240,000 in the bank, and the option to trade Harvey back in when his price plummets and Peterson's rises, and some cash left over to help upgrade a midfielder in a couple of weeks to someone like Judd). I think it's OK cash wise but uses up a few trades.
b) Do nothing and keep 20 trades.

Leaning towards the second option.

Re: SC Trading Thread - 2010

Tippet to someone around his price?
OR

Tippet to Brown

Thanks '89. Option a - you had me until you started talking about trading Boomer back in. A cardinal sin in my book. But that much cash will come in handy in any number of other areas down the track.

My only concern with Peterson is whether he'll keep his spot, but the Hawks do keep hurting themselves, so he's surely got a few more weeks up his sleeve...

Re: Official SC 2010 Trading Thread

I'm in almost the same boat, have Clark & Hille spudding it up in my rucks, after having sandi & seaby in there the day b4 lockout.... :)thumbsd: FAIL on coaches part) & am now VERY iffy on Clark, I'm falling behind the pack

Thinking of doing a double trade, getting rid of Clark & hall (two of my 3 50ppg on field players) for either of Seaby or kruezer in the ruck, & Baz for Brown in the fwds.

  • seaby leaves me with 164600 in the kitty & 248ppg between him & brown,
  • kruze leaves me with just 31600 but a boost of 255ppg on current averages
The main thing thats making me lean towards seaby atm is that big bank would be rather useful come about round 5 round 6 to turn a mid rookie or midpricer into C Judd.....
Thoughts?

Just bumping this as I got no replies about 5 pages ago.......

Try to free up some cash in other areas of your ground to go Clark>Sandi.
I like Hille>Seaby, but it's a bit too sideways considering you don't already have Sandi.

If you have enough money to get Brown as well, i'd probably go Clark --> Kruezer. Kruezer looks like potentialy becoming a premium ruck and premium rucks seem few and far between this season.

Trading either Hall or Tippett to ROK, but can't decide who. Tippett would obviously give me more money for upgrades. Could I have some thoughts? Thanks

Re: Official SC 2010 Trading Thread

What are peoples thoughts of Masten?
Only person i'm worried about.

Hmm at this stage i'd say Hall, considering Tippett kicked 5 against Melbourne in the pre season, but Barry kicked a bag against the hawks too.
But the 100k that comes with Tippet is handy, no doubt.

Re: Official SC 2010 Trading Thread

Wrote this in the 'Heath Shaw thread' but didn't get any love and I'm running out of time.

Can't help but think H.Shaw to Malceski is worth it.

H.Shaw - 503,100 (Assumed average 100-110)
Malceski - 273,500 (Assumed average 90-100)

That's an extra $229'600 in the kitty. In 1 to 2 weeks time that's Hunt/Ladson to Enright/Duffield.

Lost a keeper but gained 2 keepers and don't have to gamble with Maguire scoring poorly or H.Shaw missing more then 1 match.

Thoughts.

I reckon trades will make more points for you but how much more is what you have to weigh up against making 2 trades.

Not sure about Duffield, how has he scored playing midfield this season.

Re: SC Trading Thread - 2010

Need some trade advice.

Rucks: Mitch Clark,Warnock,McEvoy,Trengove

Getting nothing from 2nd ruck & Mitch Clark but he should improve.

trade

Seaby IN for McEvoy OUT

only way I can do this is trade Dustin Martin out for Michael Barlow.

Don't want to lose Martin but gaining anyway by bring Barlow in.

Advice Appreciated.

Robbie Tarrant and Relton Roberts out for Peterson and Duncan...

No more trades needed for a while now! Good that Rockliff is playing this week!

Good trade, can you tell me your other mids?

I'm in the same boat as bomber.. I would love to go Clark to Sandi but i just don't have the cash for it at the moment so i'm looking at Clark-Kruez or Clark-Seaby (my head hurts from trying to decide which one! :confused:).

Here's another thought, though I'm not really sure if i like it..
Trengove-Bastianc
Clark-Sandi

But then I still have Gray on the bench and no J.Brown which is the second trade i'll do if i go for Clark-Kruez or Clark-Seaby...

Tell me that trade is crazy right?!

Re: SC Trading Thread - 2010

Hi, need advice on my trades. Ideally would love to do the following, would appreciate a yay/nay for each.

Kennelly -> Malceski
Rockliff -> Carl Peterson
Hille -> Seaby
Jolly -> Kruezer

Don't want to use too many trades this early, but will definitely use one.

I am thinking Jolly -> Kruezer is a definite ... Jolly is killing me.

Whether Seaby can provide long term value is an unknown ?

Hold onto Rockliff is in and named on a wing, going by preseason form he should do alright and keep his place.

Kenelly > Malceski is a waste
Rockliff > Peterson ; Rockliff was named this week
How about you make your two trades..
Jolly>Sandi
Hille>Seaby
Then you will have the best ruck combo in the game, as Kreuzer won't keep it up and Clark won't bounce back.

How many will Moloney score in rd 7?

Re: SC Trading Thread - 2010

I really need some help .
This is my team :
Backs: Goddard Enright Hodge Hurn H.Shaw Malceski Kennely
Em Waters Nason

Midfield: Selwood Pendlebury Mitchell Barlow Martin Connors
Em Trengove Shuey

Rucks: Clark Nicnat
Em Warnock Lobbe

Forwards: Riewolt Okeefe Gia Gray Hall Mayne Hitchcock
Em Gumbleton Roberts

I have several under performing premiums. My backline is just about set although suspension to Hurn and injury to Shaw has me in a little trouble this week. my first question is, should sivagni/maguire be traded in to free up some cash for either Kennely?
Happy with my midfield.
Rucks Nicnat is travelling okay with Clark struggling but should soon bounce back.
FORWARDS have made some poor premium choices and had some bad luck with Gray. Should i trade out say Hall and Gray for Brown and Ballynte ? or something of the like. Gia is also a poor pick but looks as though he ll be staying. WILL GRAY BE BACK NEXT WEEK?

Option 1. Kennely > maguire /silvagni then Hall > J.Brown
Option 2. Hall > Ballynte then Gray > Brown

PLEASE HELP thanks

Thanks for the advice (to both of you). Good that Rockliff is named on the wing and you are right, Kennelly is a side-ways trade.
