Thinking about the following this week.

Hitchcock -------> Pods
Ball -------------> Pavlich

Is it to early to give up on Ball? Was hoping he would get more time on the ground with the Pies but given Mick's love of rotations that just isn't happening. Fairly keen to jump on Pav before he rises in price.

I'm in exactly the same position.

I'm also of thinking about Goodes or Didak as well as the Pav.

The press release about selection from Carlton referred to Hadley, Waite and McLean coming in due to the need for hardened big bodied players to take on the cats. From that, you'd think all 3 will play and I think Robinson is probably safe as well. Would be a risk to rely on Lucas.

I'd be tipping Robinson may get the last spot due to his hardness and general kamikaze playing style.

I think Pav might be a safer option.

Mitchell to Bartel or Harvey? Going Harvey will save me a bit of money.

Harvey will save you some coin but I would pick Bartel everytime if given the choice.

Hayes might be the one NDS is a bit pricey for my liking.

Already have Rocky and thinkin I'll cut my losses on Williams and take Pods. I think Rocky will get more games than Pods as Black seems to be struggling and needs the back up and Rocky is a goal kicking midfielder who gets more of the ball - but Williams isn't going to get any better and is out this week so Pods seems like a nice Cash Cow.

As a Port supporter I think Hitchy might struggle to get back in, unless they drop Ebert or Gray gets injured and remember Daniel Motlop will come back at some stage.

Why would you keep Mitchell for difficult games and trade him out when he plays easier games?

Pretty boring from my end...No Trades (I guess)

Would seem a shame to miss out on both of these guys. As was mentioned earlier I think Hitchcock will find it difficult to break back into the Port side with Gray fit again. Motlop also on the horizon. Tough call though with 4 trades used.

Is it worth getting rid of Dangerfield? Really would like to get Rockliff in leaving me plenty of money for a big midfield upgrade next week.

If I go Dangerfield -> Rockliff that will give me $328,300 to upgrade someone like Bastinac or Martin.

Note that this means BOTH Pods and Rockliff will be starting on the field plus Gumby and Hitchcock.

Im thing of doing the Hitchcock - Pods trade to, he has more JS imo and in a better team. Pods has the potential to be a 480k player and posibly a keeper while Hitchcock was always going to be an upgrade.

Will leave me with 4 players to upgrade and 15 trades left. If we assume it will take me 8 trades to upgrade the 4 players I will have 7 trades for injuries.

Thoughts?


Or I don't trade at all and put up with Danger and Ballantynes 55-80 each week and hope another fwd rookie comes through in the next month.

I actually think you need to do it...

for me I'll need to have a think about... Yeh Roberts and Gumby isn't as comforting as Rockliff and Peterson....I think you should do it...

With all the rumours of JB missing the Melbourne match, it's probably a safe bet for me. With Hitchy, I can see him struggling to get back. Being injured so he won't play SANFL at least this week, could be more. Maybe next week he will. Surely will need a few games back there in which tiime Motlop will most likely be back, Gray will be there as well so I just can't see him playing or even making anymore money if he gets a crack at it again.

opt 1 although sideways gives me potentially lots more cash

Option 1: maintain discipline and hold onto trades

Option 2: ditch Rob Murphy for jPod, use cash to upgrade injured Schuey on the pine direct to C Judd

I know which one is more fun. Will give myself a few days to consider.

I did pretty much the same thing i'd say do it, Murphy to Pods and then went Ball to Judd my team is pretty much set.

Just upgrade either Waters/Hunt to a premium then defence is done
Martin to a premuim and mids are done
and 2 in my foward line

I'm thinking just Hitchcock to Rocky, as Pods has set an unsustainable pace for a tall forward. The guy is hardly Riewoldt or Browny, plus Mooney was out of the line up the first week. Then add the looming return of Mitch Brown from LTI list.


Other forwards: Brown, Chapman, O'Keefe, Medhurst, Byrnes, Peterson, Duncan, Hitchcock

Waite is in the Blues best 22. He'll be back this week. I'd be just doing Hitchy to PODS and save you a trade. We don't need PODS to play every game for the rest of the year, maybe just the next 5 or 6 for milking purposes, which i think he should do based on current form.
