Re: Round 5 Trades

Tippett to Rockliff
Hitchcock to Pods

That would mean I have to start one of Rockliff, Pods and Gumby

Leaving me with 17 trades.
Should I do both?

Re: Round 5 Trades

made the trades already, couldn't wait any longer :)
hall > pods
shuey > rischitelli
hopefully this will work out awesome in the long run.
and gambling on hitchcock not being out for too long other wise could cause problems

Re: Round 5 Trades

so i have gumby hitchcock and roberts in my forward line
i am going to get one of rockliff/pods

so who should i trade in and who should i trade out?

and the moment im thinking roberts > rockliff

obviously costs me money but in the long run will be better. Just not sure on who will play more games rockliff or pods.

Re: Round 5 Trades

rockliff's job security is looking pretty worrying, Adcock due back in 2 as well as Buchanan, and you'd think Power's injury is just a minor one? Vossy didn't trade for older players not too play them.
Pods also may only play for 3-4 games, but this should be enough to make a fair bit of cash. if you trade both them in you may be forced to play gumby on the field at some point, without any injury cover..

Re: Round 5 Trades

My dilemma, I have a fwd line of
Brown, ROK, Pav, Harvey, BBBBH, Buddy… Gumby, Hitchcock and Relton.
sitting top 300 with 19 trades and 65k banked. Do I trade
A: Relton > pods
B: Relton> Pods and Hitchcock > Lobster
C: save my trades?
cheers guys

A lot of people have been saying things along these lines. So I might just go Tippett > Pods (and the cash) and wait for another cash cow for hitchy... thoughts?

Tippett has a break even of +122. Get rid of him!

I have $312k in the bank.

I could go:
Masten --> Judd - with $60,000 left over
or
Masten --> Harvey - with $155,000 left over

I can't choose, both so tempting!! Having a spare $155 would be pretty handy.

Which means I could go Lockyer - Pav next week.

could be some new forward possibilities soon
Grant in for the doggies, Astbury playing his second for the tigers this weekend and hopefully Rohan will get a game sometime soon..

Re: Round 5 Trades

Hopefully PODs gets some games up his sleeve... It'd be a shame for Geelong to pick someone like Hawkins who's shown nothing and been craphouse over PODs who's been bagging 5 a game...
What an ignorant and ridiculous post.

Re: Round 5 Trades

Thinking Masten > Judd
That would leave me with 167k in the bank meaning my next upgrade would probably cost 2 trades, but if I take a risk and go Masten > Brennan I'd have 258k and should be able to upgrade my next mid pricer with 1 trade.

I could also jump on the Pods train and go Hitchcock>Pods as well as the Judd trade and have 242k in the bank. Don't really need Pods though as I have Rockliff as bench cover.

Re: Round 5 Trades

Certain I will get rid of Tippett this week just not sure which option to go with:

  1. Tippett > PODS/Rockliff
  2. Tippett > Rockliff and Hitchcock > PODS
If I go with option one it makes my decision harder lol. But the Hitchcock trade seems to be a waste.

So which player(s) should I trade out and bring in.

Re: Round 5 Trades

Thank you to lads who responded to my qurey re: Dangerfield. I have now decided to keep him.

I have another query. What are your thoughts on Gram > H.Shaw. I know Gram maybe out for 1 -2 weeks, but Shaw is tempting given that I can afford him. I have McGuire taking his place at the moment. Maybe I am Trade trigger happy. I have caught the bug:D

Re: Round 5 Trades

The hype this week seems to revolve around trading in Pods and/or Rockliff (for good reason).

However, someone that seems to have gone under the radar is Chris Schmidt (Adelaide defender). Schmidt has played 2 games, is projected by tooserious to rise $85,500 after this week and $193,000 over the next 3 weeks which represents serious cashcow dollars.

I'm seriously considering trading in Schmidt to replace someone like Ladson who is averaging only 70 and is reaching BE. Given Adelaide's performance so far this year, I figure the ball will be in their defensive half a lot.

Any thoughts?

(I have 18 trades left)

Re: Round 5 Trades

gumby for pods and ball for cooney??? yay or nay?

The Cooney trade looks good:thumbsu: but I'm not sure about Gumby-Pods. Gumbleton will play most games barring injury so if u have another option then thats probably better.

Shaw's BE is reasonably close to his average so you can probably afford to wait a week - plus Essendon have played forward tag roles on him before (Monfries IIRC)

Goose is playing Melbourne this week so he should be able to cover

What do you think of my trades?

I think Shaw has a reasonably high break even so you can afford to wait a week. Goose is playing Melbourne this week so I would say he is adequate cover.

What do you think of my trades?

Option 2 as both will be cash cows plus 1 of them could end up a keeper as your 7th Forward. A win/win situation.

footnote; I believe Shaw's break even is 76? , so I believe he will go up in price. I am all confused:confused:

too serious has shaws break even at 96, a bit below his average, but will only go up about 12k if he gets his average which is 123

I was looking at his fanfooty profile and that says his SC BE is 94.

Link

Last year he didn't do to well against us and he has been tagged before.

Either way he is a keeper so its up to you.

Thanks for the advice regarding tippett and hitchy:thumbsu:

Re: Round 5 Trades

Hey guys,

I'm looking at upgrading either Hall or Medhurst to Pavlich and keeping the other... any thoughts on who I should be keeping??

Thanks for any help that anyone can give me:)

What's Ladson's BE this round? Only thing is Hawks have a pretty good draw over the next handful of weeks

I'm in a similar position looking at the downgrade, Ladson/Silvagni on the bench with Maguire/Hunt last two starting backs
