Bulldogs better not pull a swifty and name Boyd then have him late withdrawal for an emergency before the game.
Boyd is looking very much like he is out for a week (& possibly two).

Re: Round 5 Trades

Thoughts on Tippett > Podsiadly?

I can just see Tippett getting a bag of 6 as soon as I ditch him.

Decisions, decisions.

Would be one of the most popular trades this week I reckon- any mid-priced under performing forward to the iPod.

Re: Round 5 Trades

I assume you meant 'out of' and it has to be Judd all the way. You can wait till next week though as Judd has only played one & Murphy has a high BE.

I am one of the many.

The big question is, do you trade your mid-priced forward for Pods and risk him being dropped because geelong are too tall up forward? OR do you go for rockliff who could also be dropped because of pressure from seasoned midfielder/forwards?

It's been giving me a head f*ck all day.

Any info that could sway me either way would be much appreciated

Go Jpod. :D

He is way cheaper and looks like he has better job security. :thumbsu:

just completed my trades,

with hitchcock having a back injury and duncan out with what they say is general soreness, i have traded hitchcock for pods, then traded ziebell to pavlich.

still have 140k in the cap to work with, probably not enough to a straight upgrade for an elite midfielder....

moved duncan to the bench, gumbleton is an emergency (god help me) for jono brown if that rumour is true, and banfield is an emergency for sam mitchell with martin on the bench also

Re: Round 5 Trades

Just did Tippet to J.Brennan

and Hitchcock to Podsiadly

Now got enough cash to go Martin or Trengove for Judd next week.

Re: Round 5 Trades

Jarrad Waite to Chris Smidt? that makes me like 250K in the bank

Re: Round 5 Trades

Hey guys,

Just tossing up between Harvey and didak,

Thinking of trading out Dangerfield, as he is expected to drop in price,

what do you guys think?

Cheers

Re: Round 5 Trades

  1. Tippett > Rockliff/Pods
  2. Hitchcock > Pods
Should I do both or just number 1? Currently have 19 trades remaining

I am in the same boat.

Have brown, Goodes, Didak, medders, Balla, Rockcliff & Tippett
Emerg. Gumby, Hitchcock

We have already lost money on Tippett who we thought would be a keeper. I was thinking of trading him for Pods and Balla to Pav but it would leave me with 4 rookies (incl. bench) that I would need to upgrade later.
Tippett may or may not come good so his price is now irrelevant, so I think I am going to hang onto him and save a trade.
However with Hitchcock now being out I reckon he may struggle to get back into the side so Hitchcock -> Pods might be better trade.

I have 19 trades left so the Hitchcock -> Pods trade looks like the only trade I will do this week and hope Tippett has a blinder.

Thoughts anyone???

Re: Round 5 Trades

im on undecided on who to get out marc murphy or chris judd. whats your thoughts?

I've got Murphy this year and you know what you're gonna get with him, that's consistancy. He always manages to break the ton, without getting the 140+ like Judd does. With Judd copping the number 1 tag and a few teams bringing him in, I'd go Murphy.

To be completely honest...

You haven't lost money on Tippett until you actually trade him. Until you trade him, he is still worth $425,900. I think you need to keep him now, probably lost too much to get rid of him.

Thinking Hitchcock > Pods myself

Re: Round 5 Trades

Hada tough choice this week, wanted to trade out tippet but not enough value. So im in for the season with tippet. Dangerfield will come good when the crows start winning, so he is a keeper. Ziebell hasnt been showing form, and Luke ball has been terrible. so accordingly the trades went:

Ball >>> Hannebery (a bargain for his average so far)
ziebell >>>> fevola (fev wont go down much more, a bargain right now)

Hanneberry won't average that for the season and Ziebell to Fev is almost sideways. I strongly recommend against these trades.

Now on to me.

What to do with Ballantyne? Downgrade to Pods or Rockcliff and pocket 200K? Decisions, decisions.

Re: Round 5 Trades

Hmm this has gotten intresting

Fwd line consists of Rok, brown, pav, Gia, Rioli, Bilbo (Ballanyne) and pods with gumby and hitchcock on the bech

Iv got cover with gumby just incase of a late brown withdrawal. thats ok

But with bilbo named on the extended bench coming of some bad form worry he may get dropped and with hitchcock out is i now okay to do

Hitchcock>Rocliff for cover so i wont be served any donuts?

PLus is it worth doing that same trade
and with the cash to upgrade bilbo to dangerfield/Ziebell (if so which one)

I was going to use the cash to trade goodwin>Goddard as soon as goodys price went up should i save the cash???

Re: Round 5 Trades

Butane:
I did the Ballantyne to Pods trade and now have $480k in bank and gonna do Ball to Judd and hold the cash for a few weeks...
as long as ur not planning on playing 2 rookies for to long i dont think its bad..
Pods is avg more than Ballantyne anyway and will save u cash for upgrades..

Re: Round 5 Trades

Should I trade out Moore (P.A.) and bring in Waters (W.C.) . This will cost me $146K.

Moore isn't getting a game and I need cover for Waite if he doesn't play.

Looking for Waters to be a keeper.

Good or bad move?

Re: Round 5 Trades

Well I just did 2 trades and will be my last 2 for the next few weeks barring injury.

Roberts > Pods

Tippet > Cox

What do you guys think?

Like it.. Cox will be worth it in the long run..

thoughts on my potential movements??

Masten > Lucas and start Bastinac
+
Hitchcock > Podsliadsly and start Podsa

= 329.5 k spare

Only thing stopping me atm is Lucas named on extended bench? but surely he will play Garlett, Hadley or Robinson
