Re: Round 5 Trades

Ok guys i need a quick opinion before I make a move...
Cross, Gibbs or Brennan?
I know Brennan is a big and probably stupid risk, so have him coming a distant 3rd
Cross has been super reliable for me in past seasons
Gibbs seems to post solid scores around 100 week in week out.

Any thoughts would be appreciated?
Cheers

Re: Round 5 Trades

Kurt Tippett is killing me.

Do I trade him for Podsiadly and Hitchcock to Rockliff and then Trengove to Judd next week?

Or do I keep him and hope he fires?

Eurgh.

In the exact same situation. Still not sure if I should trade both out or just wait it out.

Tippett > Pods/Rockliff

Hitchy > Rockliff

Should I do both or just one :( HELP!

Jared's been looking pretty good this year- not as much pressure on him to ruck/kick goals perhaps with Fev's arrival and Leuenberger/Clark combo so he can concentrate on running about tackling/picking the ball up with one hand/taking hangers?

Of course either of the other two are super-reliable and resiliant- I think Gibbs has missed one game since he started playing or something crazy like that, and Cross doesn't miss many either. They'll both average 100-105 at least. I would love to Brennan keep up what he's been doing so far though- he's brilliant to watch when he's on song.

My question- is Waite -> Pav a bit premature?

What is the general consensus on J.Waite?

Is the gamle of downgrading to Schmidt, worth it?

Tippet > Pods/Rocliff

Hitchy > Rocliff

Should I do both or just one :( HELP!

It depends on the rest of your team. If you have blokes who can cover his (Tippetts) points then keep him, if you don't then get rid of him.

I luckily got rid of him early enough to not get a huge hit price-wise... But if I still had him I'd be sticking with him mate (I have others who I can replace him with and get some reasonable points). You'd just be trading on a loss and he could easily become bench cover until he starts to fire again (surely he & adelaide will start to fire at some point in the season with all that potential & talent).

I don't know about you but I originally picked him as a potential keeper so he obviously has some form of potential or many of us wouldn't have picked him in the first place! Further, by getting PODs in you're potentially going to be trading him back out again in a few weeks when his prices appreciates and he probably gets dropped for those coming back from injury...

Up to you at the end of the day but my advice is keep with Tippett. You're too far past gone to be trading him now. He could be bench cover while his price hopefully appreciates back to his average. Offloading him at his low-point could be a mistake, but then again it depends on your team; if you need the points then bite the bullett and trade him; otherwise, hang on and hope he (and Adelaide) find some form (which they should).

I'd be erring on the side of caution to be honest, but if I was doing it I'd be getting rid of Tippett because you'll make a lot more cash. At least Hitchcock's not going down in value this week...

As for which one, they're both pretty handy, and they're doing enough to keep their spots. Pods as a key forward might have a bit more risk/reward- if he leaves his kicking boots at home one week will he still make the big scores?

My problem with keeping him is he still has this knee tendinitis problem and he will drop another 74k over the next 3 weeks if he maintains his average. When Pods peaks cash wise I will be able to turn him into a premium.

So difficult to cut the ties and trade him out because I seem to think when I trade him out he will kick goals. Is it still worth trading Pods or Rockliff in for Hitchcock then? or bite the bullet and get both and offload Tippett and Hitchcock.:(

Re: Round 5 Trades

Clark out Cox in?

Need experts opinion on this trade.

To do or not to do, that is the question.

What to do what to do

Im going to go crazy if Tippett has a big week or Pods/Rockliff get dropped in the next few weeks.

Still undecided on which to bring in and for who

I'll probably end up going Tippett > Pods... thoughts:(

EDIT: Plus Tippett is up against B Lake tonight so that doesn't look good.

Thing is, we haven't lost any cash until we trade Tippett out. I can just see him kicking 8 tonight as soon as I let him go.

I think I'll just go Hitchcock > Podsiadly or Rockliff (which one?!), but even that seems slightly sideways. Is it worth it?

I love this game. :thumbsu:

So your going to keep Kurt Tippett? Neil Craig must expect him to kick a bag soon if he is omitting Walker

Lol! I'm glad I'm not the only one. Hitchy -> pods seem less sideways based on price and average ... let me know what you do

Re: Round 5 Trades

I don't think there's much point trading him now (unless he drops to about 200k and gets injured!). If Ablett dropped to 400k after 4 bad rounds I wouldn't be trading him. The way I see it, I've missed the boat and trading him now when he's at bottom dollar would be a little silly. I just hope he comes good!

Hitchcock > Podsiadly, probably.

Or maybe Rockliff?

Re: Round 5 Trades

Only other player im considering giving up on is Sam Mitchell. Scores have been awful and has dropped a HEAP of cash already. I can cover him but im getting sick of seeing my cash wasting away...

I agree he's not goin well for a premium, wish I could get rid of him too, but hit by 3 injuries this week with no coverage for any - the perils for going for all guns!

Hmm Pods looks like he has that tiny bit more job security. Someone posted something along the lines of "voss would only bring in all these senior players if he intended on playing them" which makes sense for Geelong as well!

The Herald Sun wrote that if pods can maintain his form it wouldnt be Hawkins at risk it would ble Blake. As hawkins could play ruck if necessary.

So I'm still not sure.. but leaning towards Pods

that's what l did l cant see Waite returning to form any time soon.schmiddt might not be a keeper but could be a nice cash cow for now and l needed to down grade one of waite or porpliza to up grade burgrone to Godard.
