Channel 7 just reported that Fisher has been flown up to Sydney for a medical, Schnider for Fisher has now been thrown up instead of the saint's passing on their 2nd rounder. More will unfold tomorrow.

to all those slagging paul roos, get a grip...this is football, it's a business, roos is our coach, he won us a flag, he's doing what he thinks is best for the club.....let's see how this pans out....it's a sad development but what did you all expect in trade week? that we'd get something for nothing every time??

very classy small forward, left-footer, should have staked a claim for a midfield role but has lacked consistency and possibly stamina, was important in our finals run to the flag in 05 but has gone missing in games on several occasions in the two season since....has many admirable qualities though, and may need a change of coach/scenery
there's a lot of hysteria being generated by the news of his move, almost all of it unwarranted

Surely Leigh Fisher?.. He is the only one with medical issues. We woudlnt dare get rid of Sam Fisher either.

was just going to ask same thing....if it's sam fisher, i think we've done very, very nicely out of it
in fact, those saying we got, er, violently taken advantage of would surely have to retract that.....sam fisher would be a great acquisition and i'm more than happy with schneider going for sam fisher

No it is reported to be Leigh Fisher.
Dont be too hard on Fisher. A good player who would play very well on the smaller SGC and will give you 100% every time he plays for you. Would fit the Sydney culture very very well. (that is not a critisism BTW). Sydney have a habit of making names out of no names.
I thought we had screwed you for only a 2nd round dp for Schneider but a 2and rounder and Fisher would be a fairer trade.

What I have heard is that a second round dp was offered, then I heard Fisher was in Sydney for a medical, so it could be one of a number of scenarios

No 2 most likely ( fair as a trade could be)
No 3 highly unlikely (Saints win).
Thats my thoughts anyway.
#43 is biscuits, so 43 and Fisher would be the same as the other two scenarios you suggested.

Though our 2nd rounder and Leigh Fisher I would be a little more concerned about.
I heard a rumour that the Swans are getting rid of Schneider due to Salary Cap problems. If this is true then im going to be so mad at the Swans management for keeping Jolly as it looks like keeping him might have lost us Schneider.
