News Scott Lucas to announce retirement today

Only my second post on b.f and it,s to farewell one of my all time favorite Bomber players,which is a bummer but not unexpected.

Was a true champion and to my mind one of a kind.

My biggest regret is that he won,t have a farewell game, but thats just a small blip on a career thats well worth celebrating.

Probably the best player of his generation not to achieve AA status.

Picked up in the 1994 Draft - which is probably the third strongest draft after 1999 and 2001.

I don't think I can add too much more to what has been said already but when you look back on all your Lucas memories he is the definition of standing up when the chips are down and being a match turner/winner.

honestly its a true indication of how good Lucas is when you think of the amount of times he has been one of out best players in not just finals but losing games.

A true Essendon champion and I hope we all get to give him a huge lap of honour goodbye in round 22.
