Presumably you're in favour of death taxes then? (I am.)

If we were all born with the same prospects in life your philosophy would be less than worthless.

Unfortunately, the biggest indicator of adult wealth in Australia is your parent's postcode when you were born.

The level playing field is a gross self-serving myth.
I wasn't suggesting that the game is fair at all. Times like we are in now are where those who worked hard, budgeted hard, sacrificed hard, got lucky with family wealth or otherwise came into money will have the opportunity to make even more money if they choose to take it while everyone else who isn't in a position to have disposable income will cling on with their nails.

Imagine being this triggered over somebody you don’t even knows financial circumstances.

You have no context regarding this particular poster.

Perhaps dig around a bit and you'll understand why many of us won't cop his crap.

I see it differently, the smart uses the ignore function to clean up the garbage

There are some obviously crazy and deranged trolls here posting stuff you would never bother to read or respond to if you know what's good for you, so why have them clog up my feed?
Yep fair enough
You could also argue these are people you wouldn't mix with in any event
I haven't used ignore because I'm genuinely interested in others views no matter how freaky

I don’t know for sure, but anyone that’s been around here for a while can you confirm whether this character despises Scomo, and has despised long before this pandemic began?

And that would be an issue for you because?

I have ignored people who constantly defend pedos, I don't think I ever wanna read their shit, I'm good

Except that I despise him for solid, clearly articulated reasons. You're just skating across the surface here mate.

But it's all sooo unfair, the inequality, the greed....ScoMo said I can't go to the gym.

I was trembling so much when he spoke I don't know if he said I can't go to the food court or if he said I have 30 minutes to get my hair done.

Woe is leftie me :(

And there are clear, proven and practical things a government can do to make life more fair for all Australians but your side of politics doesn't want to know about them because they tear your hard work fairytale to shreds.

You guys don't want a fairer Australia. You really don't.

And please don't respond with that "life's not fair" BS.

I didn't say fair. I said fairer. Life could be a lot fairer if your side of politics would pull your collective finger out.

I find the ignore function one of the biggest cop outs available.

Reality is in life you meet and interact with people with different opinions to yourself.

The weak invoke the ignore
What about the dorks that go everywhere telling everybody that they put this and that poster on ignore like anybody actually gives a shit.

How is that a left vs right thing?

I'm a leftie (centre-left really) and have no issues with whatever shutdown measures are put in place. The more the better under the current circumstances. It has nothing to do with politics, it's the messaging and that could potentially apply to whomever is running the show. 5 to a wedding, 10 to a funeral but I can do boot camp and buy a shirt at Chaddy. It's a scrambled message. He's trying his best, bless him but Morrison is not capable of leadership under such dire circumstances. It's not his fault, he is who he is.

For the record, I don't really think Shorten was the man for it either. A Hawke, a Howard or even an Abbott would have been clearer with the direction.

Who made you the gatekeeper of how new users are able to converse on here? Or is it self appointed?
It's just an observation

Why so sensitive ?....................

Fairer is quite subjective isn't it?

Just remember all those people getting paid welfare money and using the health care services are enjoying the fruits of the work and tax of people who earn the most, and the debt accrued will primarily be paid for by those same people doing well and earning the most.

That's society. I'm very happy that Australia is stepping up to help those who are losing their jobs so others don't lose their lives.

Circumstances like this really bring into focus what is important, nobody cares about emissions now that jobs are disappearing.

Don't listen to these losers Balls In

Buy lightly on the way down. When it hits rock bottom, buy it all!

Then celebrate.

Nah the key to this market is your capital reserves. If you haven't got enough, you can't piss in the tall weed with the big dogs.

We are in the middle of a pandemic, and you lot are worried about how many of your mates can come to your wedding.

Can you see now why us normal folk can't take you seriously?

Someone above the Feds okayed the boat to release passengers.

Gladys has acknowledged that a lot of people need to take responsibility, including herself. The idiot health expert working for her wants to blame a staffer onboard.

The ultimate blame rests with the Feds as they control the borders and control shipping but what complicates it the ports are controlled by the states.

We are in the middle of a pandemic, and you lot are worried about how many of your boofhead mates can come to your wedding.

Can you see now why us normal folk can't take you seriously?

And that is the problem you dullard.

I am not worried about the details. I am worried about the overall message. On Sunday I could go to a restaurant with 100 people, on Tuesday I can't exercise in a park with 5 mates but I can go to boot camp with the same 5 mates. In my case, because I am a responsible human I now just stay at home unless I have to buy food. I work at home and I exercise with my wife in the local park away from everyone. And that is it. I'll see my family and friends when this is over.

However, the message is all over the place. Why doesn't your gloriously inept PM have the stones to lock the joint down so that even the simple are not left trying to count wedding guests and work out how to flaunt the system (idiot Bindi Irwin decided to bring her wedding forward to today so she could have all her guests present)? This drip fed lockdown is not helping the economy, it is not slowing down the virus and it is muddying the waters for those who don't know what the rules are.

If his message was getting through we wouldn't have had instances of 20 people at a social gathering infecting each other and then countless dozens in the wider community. You forget that he is PM for everyone, not just those of us responsible enough to make responsible choices. And whether you like it or not, the ambiguous messaging WILL cost lives because idiots don't understand nuance. Idiots need it in black and white.

Oh bullshit. You came in here, even smugger than your mate Scomo...what was it you said, you'd put $40K into BHP shares, they are virtually giving them away or words to that effect.

You smug, self-absorbed prick.

The border point is buying a few hundred dollars worth of shares is possibly a smart strategy but you do need to pick the right companies.

I disagree. So much of future success is about networking, influential people send their children to private school and if you're kid is good then you'll find opportunity extending itself in front of them from their networking contacts from high school.

Not for everyone, but it happens more in private school from what I've seen.

That only applies to the elite schools but for most people your university and professional associations are far more important than your school.

When we are in the middle of a pandemic all I want is them to stop the boats

Can you see now why us normal folk can't take your lot seriously?

You can always choose to not go out. The issue is compelling other people to make the choice you see as most fitting.

You have to be direct with the moron community though.

Responsible people can choose to stay in but we can't stop some moron who doesn't give a shit from infecting a loved one who might be innocently out getting their weekly groceries.

Hence the message needs to be unambiguous, direct and come with serious ramifications for those who break the rules.

I am not seeing any of that from Morrison. But apparently because I criticise Morrison that makes me a lunatic leftie.

This has nothing to do with politics. This is all about leadership and right now I would swap Morrison for Abbott in a heartbeat.
