Confirmed departures, Gretgrix, Robbins, Hill (mounts) Richards, Findlay, Plim, Trellfell (ALL will play at North Bendigo) Jacobs boys (Colbo) add to those Matthews very close to signing at Pyramid while Filo and Confortee both have signed but rumored to be talking elsewhere.. Good majority of twos on the move also.. Such a massive turn over.. Can't help but think the club is wishing the coach went about things differently

Should have plenty of Cash to splash around then!!!

They are no certainties to be playing in 2014 let alone being competitive.

surely with all the new committee and coach chasing players for the last 2-3 months they will get a team up? Would be a disaster if they didnt as the town needs to have a footy team up and running and would lose a lot of people if it didnt happen next year.

That's an interesting one about milward, hasn't played at ehawk for about 4 years.
I know for a fact that the players who have left ehawk to play at mounts actually contacted filo and not the other way around, they wanted out also tim hill was offered more money from eaglehawk. So why do these players want out? Such a shame for a great club. Obviously the players don't like the coach. Can anyone else shed any light on this??

Have been told third hand that the eaglehawk players spent more time in class this year than anyone completing a masters degree

He went back just before clearances closed the season just gone

Camo played out the year at Barham and stayed loyal even though pays were cut mid year. He and Shan should be able to offer Boort a fair bit still..

Some nights Mona kept team meetings till 10pm, over analyzing games. Players got pissed off with game plans and over rotating. Forgets it's only BFL something's. Doesn't have much of a personality either with clashes with some over the bigger larakin ego types at Burra.

Derrick had also rang Kain before being confirmed as Mounts coach.. You land the big fish, players follow. Don't believe everything you hear

I stand corrected on Cam...cheers Claude. I was certain that I had seen a clearance in for him to head back to the Burra but as with most things I must have been mistaken.

On the coach I have heard exactly what you have described and you cannot blame blokes for wanting out. These young non playing coaches need to realize that you can watch all the tv you want and have as many meetings as you want but it is still country footy. I think the bloke at the Flat suffers a little from the same issue

Was talking to square boys who said he was lucky to be in there best 22. And they've got rid of him

Interesting way to talk about their premiership coach.

If true I actually see that as a very disappointing way for the best team in the comp to talk of him regardless of his form.

Heaven forbid these highly paid players be subjected to a bit of professionalism from the coach, Roota.

Hi guys and girls,

Sorry to move the talk away from players and coaches, but just need some advice/direction.

We are holding a Elite Junior Development Program in Bendigo next year and was just wanting to get some local knowledge of where you would think would be the best venue to hold it at.

We have 3 sports running - AFL, Soccer & Netball

We will be looking at the Epsom Huntly Reserve, Schweppes Centre & we were told about somewhere in Strathfield.

Just was hoping to get a bit of local knowledge and ideas.

We require - fields for skills, Courts for skills, and indoor courts for fitness testing, skills can be on the indoor courts.

Any help would greatly be appreciated...

Epsom has the best training facilities for football and soccer (lots of space), but not sure about netball.

Strathfieldsaye would be OK, but you would need to be split across two venues (about 500m apart).

Bendigo Stadium great for netball, but no facilities for the other sports.

Your best bet would be to run netball at Bendigo Stadium and football and soccer at Epsom.
