So the "obsession" we have on inside contested ball is because we have now lost two grand finals because of it. I would say the need to reverse that trend supersedes the need to let Warner rack up highlights.

Surely Ladhams must be maturing. Has all the assets just lacks the brain to bring it all together.

Ladhams seemed to have turned a corner in the VFL in terms of workrate and attitude, his call-up was justified, but should have been a straight swap with Grundy, not as a 2nd ruck. Play with 2 KPFs etc.

I'd be comfortable with him replacing Grundy for a few games here or there to manage him.

But on the inside, which is what we're talking about, our four main mids were beaten 29-42 in contested possessions, 17-21 in clearances, and 10-23 in tackles. We aren't good enough in there, so things need to change.

No not really. Grundy dominates second half of games because he wares down opponents. People also link Grundy's performances to the midfield performance in the GF and also don't give Fort his flowers. Grundy did his job just our midfield was donkey on the day
