Sweet F.A News

An exciting Match of the Round clash sees two evenly placed teams this season in the 2nd Placed Roys and Swamprats sitting in Fourth. With plenty of stars adorning team sheets, this will be a pivotal game to watch as both teams look to catch up to a rampaging Furies unit.

Form Guide
Roys FFC
LWWWL

Round 10: Geelong Wolves 15.11 (101) lost to Roys FFC 17.9 (111)
Round 11: Roys FFC 12.8 (80) lost to Coney Island Warriors 17.15 (117)

Sin City Swamprats
LWWWW

Round 10: Mount Buller Demons 13.9 (87) lost to Sin City Swamprats 24.7 (151)
Round 11: Sin City Swamprats 20.12 (132) defeated East Side Hawks 12.18 (90)

Roys FFC
The Roys continue to roll along, their own tight little unit oblivious or uninterested in most of the other goings on in the League and steadily building into impressive form, looking to continue the trend of massive win streaks #Royvulution set the season prior. A loss last week to bottom dwellers Coney came as a bit of a shock, but a solid streak of 3 wins before that will have allayed any fears of falling down the ladder too rapidly.

The midfield duo of Mighty P and Mooch continues to impress, Mighty P shining last week in a losing team with 81 DreamTeam points and 24 touches. Only a few weeks prior Mooch amassed an equal 2nd high disposal count worthy of a Qhampion Data POTW and Bushwood Country Club Kiss of Death in the same week, if you don't mind. A promising trio of Rookies has also brought new light to Brunswick Junction, nahnah , Barrels and CALL ME SNAKE all having an impact in their first season.

A win here solidifies the Roys top two aspirations whilst dealing a venomous blow to a direct competitors chances, it should be a brilliant MOTR for week 12.

Player to Watch?

fitzroybowiedog - Is there anything this man can't do? The heart and soul of the Roys, bowiedog has led from the front as usual, taking home the gold medal in the Roys post count all season long so far. An absolute hard nut, the Captain of the Roys leads them in tackles with 35 and expect him to come out tough and hard against another Top Four contender with a point to prove.

Sin City Swamprats
How did the Swamprats do it? Somehow, they're back in the Eight and even pushing for top four after looking likely to fight for the spoon in the opening few Rounds of Season 23. 4 wins a row may just have something to do with that. One of the more stable clubs of last offseason, the Swampies have found some quality young players in Grav and MaxMinch to add into an experienced XX.

They keep chugging along, one of the more active teams with posts coming from across the board, it has been another dominant year for MM and 'Beez' MVP Ant Bear who rarely dips below 100 posts these days, and Noobz0r reinvigorated has been great for the League, his voice in the Media a helpful mouthpiece for the club, and obviously reflected in his Qooty recently as he leads the Swamprats in disposals and ranking points. Cloud_ continues to produce excellent stats work and is in contention to go back-to-back with the Frankston Rover medal.

A win against the Roys here, and with their superior percentage the Swamprats of Sin City would leapfrog the Dragons (if they lose) and claim the Roys spot in 2nd, plenty of motivation to get over the line for a Club in their window who wants to be a regular finals contender.

Player to Watch?

Quadzilla - Coming off what 'could be' a Club record for disposals with 37 and 4 goals to go with them, the poster known as Quad has been a reliable poster for Sin City all season, and put up a solid 39 against the Hawks. Another chance to put up some big numbers in the middle may be on the cards this week.

Who will win?

Roys by 33.

Captains please have your team sheets in by the 11.59 Thursday deadline, Cheers.

Please stand and applaud Swamprat founder, premiership captain and champion Macca19 on the occasion of his 250th game for the Swamprats. (Assuming that he is selected, of course)

Macca started in the SFA with Team Pump, before founding the Swamprats in Season 4. He played in the centre in our S6 premiership, and is currently consumed by keeping order on the Port board, but we would love it if he could find the time for a few inspirational words.

Well here we go with the battle between the Roys and Swamprats.

Payback is very much on our mind this week but so is 5 in a row....that's right, 5 wins in a row.

Either way this promises to be a cracker and I'm looking forward to seeing what the Roys have in store this week.

Swamprats by 17 points!

We'd be impressed if we weren't second on the ladder

You're second on the ladder???

Goes to show how little attention I pay to other sides.

In saying that, I am sorry to be the bearer of bad news but you won't be second for much longer.

We don't lose back to back.
No you don't, generally across the existence of Roys FFC you lose back to back to back to back to back to back. This season has been an exception, quite a strange phenomenon actually.
