You know how many cassettes it take to load the internet program? Bazillions.

Pfft ... mine's on a cartridge.

Side Note: The predecessor to Qooty was a Basic game I wrote called Real Time Footy that ran on a Commodore 64. The game itself was on side A of a cassette, and a set of team lists (AFL teams at the time, before going all fantasy) were on the B side.

So to play a game, you'd press Run/Stop on Side A, and half an hour later when the game was running, you'd load in two teams from Side B.

Honestly jaw-dropping to think that it didn't feel like too much agony back then. Starting a game/program was treated the same way you'd treat downloading a movie now - start it up, then go do something else (have dinner, make a telephone call, sail around the world), and come back to see it loaded and ready. It would sure be painful in this day and age.
