Last time they met was S27 Round 10
Gumbies FFC 15.14 (104) defeated Roys FFC 14.9 (93)
7th plays 3rd
1 Loss & 3 Wins vs 4 Wins
Gumbies are hanging on dearly to the 8 but there are 4 teams behind them with the same win / loss record. Roys are playing a great brand of qooty and will be hard to beat going into this round. The only advantage the gumbies have is they are playing at their home ground and thats about where it ends. If the Gumbies hope to get a win out of this they are going to have to get the players more invested in thier game plan and not rely on only a few key players to do the heavy lifting.
Players to Watch:
Gumbies
DERO; one of too few work horses at the Gumbies, if he had players around him prepared to work he could be a star of the competition.
Rodney Dangerfield; has a lot of experience and knows all the dirty tricks in the qooty book, but is yet to step up and be counted. Hoping as his playing against the Roys we might see him dust off the walking frame and give it a decent crack, when in form RD is a thing of beuty to behold.
Roys
Mobbs; very decieving player who often out wits his much younger opponents. What he lacks in speed he makes up for with cunning, rarely takes an opponent front on but often the last man standing.
I Dont Care; altho he is always hung over he is finding the qooty and the goals this season. IDC goes in hard and doesn't shy from the physical competition, normally takes on a tagging role and can really upset the opposition and get under their skin.
