I’ve been at the Bears for 5 seasons now. In that time DemurePrincess has gone through three clubs.

Moving around repeatedly is a sign that someone is struggling to work within an existing team culture.

The two clubs should just merge at this point. They are basically the same club with the same posting style, would instantly improve the league.


As I said in another thread a few weeks ago— take the league back to a 10 team league, play two “games” per match thread across a 10 day period, then there is 9 match threads a season, no double ups outside of finals and a higher likelihood of keeping people active all season long.

The league shouldn’t need people to contribute for 40+ weeks a year once you add finals.

Have one season go from March-June, then a second season from August-Nov.

Builds in a slot for the cricket league that is being created, allows for more creativity and means hopefully match threads feature genuine personalities rather than relying on AI images, YouTube videos & colourised cartoons from the 1980’s

As I said in another thread a few weeks ago— take the league back to a 10 team league, play two “games” per match thread across a 10 day period, then there is 9 match threads a season, no double ups outside of finals and a higher likelihood of keeping people active all season long.

The league shouldn’t need people to contribute for 40+ weeks a year once you add finals.

Have one season go from March-June, then a second season from August-Nov.

I see that the idea has completely gone over your head, that’s ok—- because most of your contributions are just Ctrl + V from Youtube.

One of the biggest criticisms about a shorter season is the reduction of games played & it taking longer to reach milestones.

The league is in a situation with two different priorities
—- The Simulation & the “games”
— The match threads & the interactions

One match thread between teams a season prevents the dreaded double ups, which are lower engagement.

But by playing two “games” ( say one home & one away) in a single match thread it allows statistics to still continue to increase at the same level (if not slightly faster), plus a “game” half way through provides a different context to banter about—- For example if okeydoke7 kicks 7 in the first “game”, he gets to gloat for a few days while the opponent gets a chance to verbally respond.

Brings back a focus to the sim, while preventing multiple different match threads for teams in a season.

Unfortunately the last admin campaign was held on short notice & I didn’t have sufficient time to put my pitch together.

However, next time I definitely will.

Moving away from the Tues- Sun routine would improve this, especially when interacting with clubs that are increasingly “routine” with their weekly output.

Moving away from the “on Wednesdays we wear pink, on Fridays we post YouTube videos” mentality will allow different posters to shine more consistently.

There is some Bears who I actively post more during the weekend, but don’t get the responses they deserve as their opponents have turned the thread into a Team PM.

A 9-10 day match thread that includes a mid-thread game that actively encourages banter between the two teams would better engage the 80% of the league that doesn’t post 1,000+ times a season.

It turns the “good game Boys” posts into a “damn you Supersuns for tackling me in the fourth quarter, I’ll get my revenge on (insert day here)
