Sorry for jumping in. But can I say what an irresistible brand of football your club are producing at the moment. Thoroughly deserved the win tonight.

But the main reason for my note, was to say thank you to the Collingwood players and supporters for the sendoff you gave David Mundy. He deserved nothing less. One of the fairest and nicest players to play our game: and your club responded to him being chaired off like it was his own home game. He will never forget that.

Thank you, and best of luck next week

Justin Longmuir looks shattered. :(

He's a good egg and has done wonders with Freo but they were made to look inadequate tonight. The score didn't reflect the extent of it.

In some of their sideways passing I saw Collingwood in 2019. Mechanical.

Absolutely, it had Buckley written all over it. I think with how well our midfield performed it forced them down that path, as the brilliance of Brayshaw & Serong was quashed.

Hard to make a lot of the game when there live. The one obvious was how disappointing Bianco was, AJ better after half time and hate to say but Checkers really looks done!

Our goals come from manic pressure and the little guys

If we lose Elliott we are cooked!

Defence looked superb

McCreery still not sure

Maynard quiet ?

Cox unbelievable!

Ginn, well credit where credit is due

One change

Bianco out

Henry in

Have not read anything as yet, just got home. Our pressure was magnificent. Crispy, Coxy, Moore and DeGoey were standouts for me. But every player contributed to what should have been a 7 or 8 goal flogging. Fly's capacity to have our boys look as manic today as they did in that first praccy against the Hawks is astonishing. Given the tempo and passion they play with makes it all the more remarkable.

From 17th to the prelim - not unprecedented but certainly a stellar performance from a rookie coach.

Welcome back, where have you been?

We’ve missed you!

It’s a shame Chris Mayne wasnt out there as well. Would have been a nice touch if he wasnt retired.

Felt weird defending a lead. If WHE kicked that last goal felt the crowd would have entered party mode but we didn't quite get there. Regardless, we played like a good team. The whole night didn't look like losing. Played like winners. A prelim is a fantastic outcome. We can win next week if we take our chances! Get hyped Collingwood fam!

I think Henry is done. I say we replace Johnson with Madgen and Carmichael in with Bianco sub.

I don’t buy this narrative at all. Aside from Nick Daicos it’s almost the same list…same game plan executed with out fear though is the difference.

I put it down to minimal (in Collingwood terms) external distractions and the negativity that has followed for the last decade.

This is 100% not by luck and should be expected.

McCraes gameplan is nothing like Buckleys gameplan.

You saw Buckleys gameplan tonight. Freo under Longmuire with high possession and marks with no scoring.

Which is who brought about the change in our gameplan in 2018 - Longmuire.

McCraes Richmond esque gameplan tore Freo apart.

Its phenomenal what McCrae has done.

For Peter Daicos to be quoted saying the club is so much better now under McCrae says it all about the Buckley gameplan and era as a whole.
