I'm not saying that players dropped back from the 1's, that would be understandable.
I am saying that he brought a player in that hadnt played, or trained, all season at the expense of one of the most popular and loyal players at the club, that is inexcusable. All for personal glory!!!

I'm not saying that players dropped back from the 1's, that would be understandable.
I am saying that he brought a player in that hadnt played, or trained, all season at the expense of one of the most popular and loyal players at the club, that is inexcusable. All for personal glory!!!
Every year at finals time, reserves coach face this dilemma. The fact is there are blokes who dont/cant train, but are still very good players at this level. There are also great trainers and clubmen who cant get a kick, and are unlikely to in finals. You must go with the person who you think is most likely to get the club, and the other 21 players across the line. It may not be fair, but its footy. I wouldn't want to play in a narrow loss in a grand final as one of our better players watched on. To assume its for personal glory is a bit rough, you cant blame a bloke for giving the team what he thinks is the best chance.
A final word on Greg. I can't speak for his Dingley days but I know he was very well regarded at the Doggies and they wish him well. Coaching aint easy boys and girls.
