Not up to a preview but here are my tips (in bold)
Moridalloc v Hampton - Mordialloc by a little
South Yarra v Caulfield - South Yarra by a bit
Springy Dist v Skye - Skye by some
Bentleigh v Oakleigh - Bentleigh by not much
Moorabbin v Murrumbeena - Murrumbeena by a lot

Good game Fish, what did you think of the Oaks?

Oakleigh had a lot of new faces our there today, most of which had a hand in contributing to the win. Your new coach goes ok, Velardo is a beautiful kick of the footy, I reckon he & Kiellerup were the difference today. We IMO allowed Killer along with hid overhead marking, too much run off half back in the last half. I think he set up the win in the dying stages

Well done Oaks a great game. We have certainly picked up some fantastic talented players. So to all you haters, baggers and big mouths the club is bigger, better and stronger than ever GO Oaks.

Big Twix not all our supporters do the wrong thing a couple last year shouldn't have done what they did ,but hey every club has some bad supporters, I must mention on Saturday a female oaks supporter was minding her own business and clapping Oaks of the ground when all of a sudden a feral supporter came up to her and started swearing at her for no darn reason and you say we are all scum.and another incident but I won't go on I don't wont to bore you. And by the way what club would you be from ?

Haha ofcourse she was just minding her own buisness.. Probably one of the lovely ladies to tried to attack two of our female commitee members last year in finals. Innocent oakleigh supporters always just "minding their own buisness" we'll see how much oakleigh have really changed once we verse each other this season then won't we southern comfort.. Typical name for an oakleigh supporter

I thought Lawry was best on for you, he is a gun. It was a good standard of footy it's only early but I would think both teams should make the top 4.

Lol.

Round 2 tips.

Skye to beat South Yarra by 60 points. The Bombers took a while to get going last week but once they did, they were flying. Another 10 minutes they would have got there but that's footy. No mistakes this time around.

Caulfield will go down to Mordialloc by 5 goals. The ex-divi one team were very impressive last week and showed a rock solid defence. Great win by the ex-divi three Bears last week, but they only beat the possible wooden spooner. Will find it much much harder to score so readily here.

Hampton by a goal over Moorabbin. A nervous game for Hampton here. If they lose here it could be a very long season. The shorter ground will help the Hammers and they will have to work their ass off to beat their nearest neighbour. Gotta love these local derbys.

Oakleigh to beat Springy by a point. The match of the round will be hard to pick as both teams beat the 2 pre-season flag favourites in the first round. Those young quick Springy blokes will find it hard against the bigger bodies of Oakleigh. Another great local derby.

Murrumbeena over Bentleigh by 2 goals. Beena play their ground very well and Bentleigh were dissappointing last week. Willis and Jones will go very well and prove to be the difference.

2s Skye, Mordi, Hammers, Oak D and Bentleigh

Round 3, div 2, SFL, 2013, BIO (bring it on)

Mordi to go down to Skye in a tight one. Game of the round undoubtedly. Mordi have done real well with quality midfielders delivering the ball "lace-up" to ok marking forwards and quality crumbers. Skye's secret to success is being intense all around the ground for all four quarters and can't let the Scafidis and Terrell the space to crumb. Skye by a goal only because they are most likely to grind it out all day long. The difference between the two playing lists is immense. Mordi have changed their list entirely since 2011 round 18 whilst Skye have developed a home-grown good team over a long time and are always improving.

Bentleigh will beat Moorabbin by a fair whack. The Roos were valiant last week but showed they will finish between 7 and 9. A crushing win against good oppo by Bentleigh last week says that they do have the goods to deliver this year.

Oakleigh D will woop South Yarra. The Lions are miles away from it and have quickly become the spoon favorites. Paddy Carroll has had a blistering start to the year but is often overlooked as one of the players to tag. He is a line breaker and should be paid a bit more respect by oppo coaches hellbent on stopping Fermanis.

Caulfield to lose to Hampton by a point. So early in the season to have a watershed moment for the Hammers - if they win they can start thinking about mixing it up with the big boys, if they lose they will have lost ground on last year. They fought hard last week to defend against a fast finishing Moorabbin and this fire may get them across the line this week.

Springvale by 3 goals v Murrumbeena. Springy at home will have plenty of space for their young guns to run. Murrumbeena has some consistency issues and drop places this year. They look the most vulnerable of last year's finals teams and thats why it is such an important game for Springvale.

2s Skye Bentleigh Oak D Hammers and a draw b/n Springvale and Murrumbeena

Wats the go with Beena?? Heard whispers they were gonna recruit well but if anything have dropped the ball big time. Big disappointment.

Big game this week down at princes hwy reserve. Will tell us where both sides are really at. For mine I am going for mordi over the oaks. Who are the keys for both sides??

A side who had alot of hype over the summer was Hampton and to this stage they have not been real convincing, massive test this week they vs a well drilled bentleigh side who have recovered well since there first round loss. Loss here to the hammers and loss to the oaks. a loss here and they could find it hard to be there in September.

Here goes round 4 - Hoping to tip the elusive entire card

Skye ($1.20) v Caulfield ($4.30). The Bombers are still trying to hit the form shown for the most of 2012 but will still be too good here.

Murrumbeena ($13.00) v South Yarra ($1.02). South Yarra will win a game this year but it won't be this week. No whip required for the young colts.

Hampton ($2.75) v Bentleigh ($1.45). After missing the start, Bentleigh have hit form along the back straight. A tight course but the Demons will prevail.

Oakleigh Districts ($1.90) v Mordialloc ($1.90). The absolute feature race of the afternoon. Both have hit the ground running. The blustery conditions will offset the home course advantage and talented, experienced heads will prevail in a photo. Mordi by a nose.

Moorabbin ($1.05) v Springy Districts ($10.00). The early bolter has settled in the back straight and need to maintain momentum till the business end. The Kangaroos are looking forward to the maiden stakes v SY.

Remember to Gamble Responsibly, unless you're on a footy trip away.

Sorry Fish, hungover. Unless you hear otherwise from Tom, Gai, Allan or Joey Johns, it should read Murrumbeena $1.02 v South Yarra $13.00 and Moorabbin $10.00 v Springy $1.05.

Round 5

Mordi by 40 points over Murrumbeena. I don't think Dean Spanos has the quality midfielders around him to match it with Mordi's strength. Whilst, Willis has kicked 20 goals against Moorabbin and SY, and 2 against Bentleigh and Springy - and I don't think it is just about increased opportunities. Given Mordi has the most miserly defence, the Lions are gone against quality teams.

South Yarra will go down by 40 v Moorabbin. The Roos will win their first for the year and return home thinking - gee, our ground aint so bad after all. Johannson will kick his second bag for the season.

Caulfield to go down by 30 to Oakleigh. The Districts were up for the big game last week and even with a drop off in intensity will still win this well. They look very settled and have several goalkickers to support Velardo. This year it is up to Caulfield to hang in and win the 2-4 winnable games to stay in divi 2.

Hampton to lose by a point (again) to Skye. Hampton came tantalisingly close last week against serious opposition and find themselves again being in this "am I good enough?" position. It is yet to click down at Skye and this is probably due to the loss of several onfield leaders. Still confident the Bombers will get better as the year goes on and will finish off strongly when it matters.

Springvale by 2 goals over Bentleigh. The season's most consistent side v the season's least consistent. There is plenty to like about Springvale this year.

2s: Murrumbeena, South Yarra, Oakleigh Hampton and Bentleigh

Reviewed end of season ladder prediction;
Oakleigh Districts
Mordialloc
