Umm very strange appointment and obviously heading to div2 now. Rumours were he got moved on from Braybrook last season 3 weeks out from finals. That’s div3 WRFL which is very low standard. Not sure he has the pulling power to rebuild a club like STKC. Watch this space.
Check Facebook, the post is still there.

Prior to Braybrook, Vinnie coached Yarraville to a 2nd division flag and prior to that he was at Port Melbourne at VFL for the 2017 premiership with Gary Ayres.

He’s been an assistant coach at STKCFC this year so makes sense to give him a go.

Hopefully the club can turn things around. Sounds like a lot of work to do.

All this "welcoming back old faces" to help us in our time of need stuff is nice, but if the cash has dried up and their is no guarantee of it returning next year, how does the club attract new players?

Getting relegated is almost inevitable and I'm not sure playing in a lower grade fixes anything, I'll acknowledge the club has had its troubles before and managed to move to calmer waters, though in saying that - could this be the straw the breaks the camels back?

My read from afar and seeing president Rockets post of a Facebook page that money was not the issue, Swan, Potts and Edwards wanted to play in flag together when it became obvious early in the season this wasn’t going to happen then bailed…knowing they were not going to make finals the club was probably happy to no longer have the wage bill, but then the exits kept coming and snowballed.

Interesting they chose Pines then as their next destination club as they won’t win the flag either!

I wouldn’t say that with those 3 coming in to there side there sitting 4th on the ladder and if they make finals they a good chance of winning as anyone I think

They are sitting 4th and I wouldn’t say they won’t win another flag with the pines
Edwards and Swan are 39 years old surely , imagine counting on them to win a Seniors flag instead of Junior development, yet St Kilda City gets hammered on here
Any side will have them I think if you are good enough to play in a side age shouldn’t matter not to mention the extra people at games that will go watch swan more dollars coming in to the club good on city for getting him there as well obviously for them it didn’t work out how they wanted pines are a pretty well run club so hopefully it works out better for them

If that’s true I mean… what sort of nuffies are these blokes? “We want to play in a flag”? Isn’t the whole point of a flag that you achieve it? Not parachute in for 10 games to hopefully get a local league medal? Yeah good on ya boys, that’d be great…

You said it - “ if it’s true “ we all really know that answer.
But as you would expect STKCITY are cutting the narrative to suit themselves.

Ask the question, “why has the money dried up?”

I would of said that was a fairly obvious answer- The supply has been cut off.

One for the older folk here…
Great night down at Bentleigh for the thirds tonight.
Chris ‘Shooter’ Sharp played his 350th game with his two boys. Ended up with another 3 to add to the 1000+ sausages… great effort, must be in his early 50s by now.
That’s what local football i

Shooter was a great player he was unstoppable at Bentleigh and a good player at north ballarat in his prime but the best thing he was always good to have a beer after the game and i was the opposition!

Has anyone heard if Port, Springvale or St Paul’s will add to their squads in an attempt to challenge the top 3?

Port recruited alot of StKCity's kids that are currently playing in their two's

Port have a very strong list and have the ability to go deep, if they stay healthy.

Justin Taylor is a great leader of men, Smedts DeLuca & Caddy are the obvious standouts on their list, but look out for Soylemez who is a massive talent, and has a massive future most likely at a higher level

Utterly bizarre scenes as Cranbourne confirm they're applying to join the MPNFL for the third time in five years.

I won't put words in their mouth as I can't recall the exact, but I'm fairly sure two years ago they declared they were totally done with the MPNFL after being knocked back for the second time and it being clear they weren't wanted.

Can only assume they know something that everybody else doesn't.

Skye and Chelsea Heights were also approached but are remaining in the SFNL.

Is Narre Warren still rumoured of coming in?
