I like it a lot. What would be the steps to try and make this happen?

Ammo clubs like Ormond, Glen Eira, Parkdale & Hampton (clubs around the D1 to C Grade level) finally biting the bullet & conceding that travelling out to Bulleen & the likes every other weekend is getting tiresome. Not to mention young blokes on their Ps paying $2 a litre for petrol.

Imagine a fixture with Ormond, Glen Eira, Caufield Bears & Murrumbeena in it.

Watch #51, some of the funniest vision I’ve seen

In these situations why is there always some peanut in the crowd screaming "BLOODY HELL UMPIRE! DOOOOOO SOMETHING!"

Like mate there's 25 footballers trying to beat the shit out of each other, what the hell is an umpire able to do except stand there and watch.

Haha true. But, in fairness, I can almost guarantee that peanut was l already frustrated with old mate prior to this and was just releasing some frustration. Old boy is a very frustrating umpire to have

Easy to criticise umpires. Why don't you put your hand up and do it?

Well done Bedford, I like the concept and in a perfect sporting world would make sense.
My club is a district club in the Ammos in the northern suburbs that gets annually pillaged by NFNL clubs and needs to change comps to just survive
and would welcome a similar blueprint for the north as well.

Check out this SFNL/SMJFL product Luke Nankervis who got his debut for Adelaide today.
Seem to recall him playing a handful of really strong games for Bentleigh’s 1sts back in 2021 (his draft year).
Has there been any other cases of a draftee playing SFNL seniors?
I know Liam Reidy who’s at the Dockers was at East brighton but unsure if he was a 1s player back then….
Anyways great to see some local talent on the big stage.

Hey Spindles, umpires of the Div 2 Vamps vs Skye game on the weekend were bloody fantastic.
One umpire even bounced each centre bounce and only miffed it up once late in the game. Great effort!
I hope the umpires boss watches this game closely and does a bit of a group review on it about how the game should be umpired.
Well done to Lindsay, Hayden and Charlie

So happy for you AND the vampires

Absolutely nailed it.

Marsha from Marsha Marshmellow‘s has critiqued the vision

Port Colts
#31: you started it and hid when the crap hit the fan….they don’t call you Old Spark Plug for nothing.
When the sparks flies he goes missing
#11: as Mister T’s love child you need to re engineer your brain to realise once you man handle a child you get to meet blokes twice as strong and just as willing as you. Got absolutely mangled and then whimpered off to the bench.
# 6 , 10, 13, 14, 10 you guys need to stay at home with the other 2 dwarfs and look after Snow White. No use pumping the chest out and pumping your little legs with no impact.
#23 the quintessential looks like Tarzan plays like Jane. Big shoulders, not much in between

Bentleigh
#8 the Zuhaar of SFNL, absolutely creamed #11
#17 #19 the wingmen of #8 fantastic support act.

#51 the video has been sent to Hollywood for an Academy award. If anyone sitting at home bored, put the replay on slow motion and enjoy the emotion, the drama, the stunts, the injured acting. Absolute cracker.

also when is the Port President going to grow a couple and tell Caddy when the games over to just head into the rooms and stop going onto the ground trying to start blues with umpires, opposition players coaches and supporters.

Gee whiz bounce that’s a fair spray. Just watched it and agree no 8 did well to come in and show support but he definitely didn’t cream up PC no11. Appears PC no11 was sent off. All looked like a good old melee and mostly push and shove by the vision. Not defending either side but in the lead up it appears Bentleigh were tagging a few PC players closely so you would expect a bit of niggle.

If that was Caddy in the beanie post game then that’s not a great look at all. At least someone was smart enough to stay close and shield him away.

Just a question? Do you have umpire escorts in this league as it appears only 1 person is following the umpires and he appears to be in port colts colours.

Not going in for a drink post game is not a great look. Interested to hear what was said over the fence during the melee as if the crowd stepped over the line then I guess that could be why maybe. Also appears words come from the bentleigh bench after the melee which isn’t helpful.

Anyway just my take on what vision I seen from my phone.

Cheers

Looking at the vision the Bentleigh umpire escort was waiting for the goal umpires .
Apparently Not the first time Caddy has carried on . The club needs to be stronger on leaders not setting examples .
This was an issue at city not taking control and it flows to supporters.

Charlie Clarke got drafted to the bulldogs pick 23 in last years draft , yet to make his senior debut , played at port colts seniors the year before as a 16 year old

Very good info, i know Narre Warren have been playing Red Hill in practice matches the last few years, alternating venues, and believed to have a good relationship with them.

I am not convinced though that they will get any other negative clubs to change their vote. it only takes 5 "no's" out of 22 votes to not be voted in! Which to me seems like the tail wagging the dog!

I like Bunks thoughts, although you rule out Cerberus (numbers & strength vary from year to year) and Berwick & Beaconsfield.
Narre will start in Div 2, if they showed there wares in Div 1 SFNL they may be a better chance but the weighting of playing in a sub par league like OEFL has deemed them a liability against the powerhouse clubs like Bombers, YCW, even Langwarrin who are doing ok to be competitive in Div 1 MPNFL this year

Don’t be so sure about that…..at whose expense? If they have 10 team comps does the bottom teams know that there may be more than 1 side relegated this year?
Bonbeach drop out, easy one that, won't be surprised if Langwarrin drop down. Think there is a very real chance they do end up with 3 divisions as has what I have heard. Cranbourne have participated in 3 of the last 4 seasons grand finals that have got there. They have every right to pony up the right to be a tier 1 football club.

Sorrento have, and always will be the money shakers on the Peninsula. Since the departure of the big stars (at Sorrento) and the evenness of Div 1 (MPNFL), the ability to draw a serious challenger to the top teams is a huge attraction for some powerbroker I know.

Yeah I can see your point and fully understand it, however if Langy finish 9th and want to stay up I feel they have the right to.
I’m led to believe there has been no mention of 2 teams being relegated and if that is the case with 4 rounds left, then I guess Cranbourne will be playing D2.

The saving grace for Langwarrin is they have not been discarded in a game this season. Beardy has done a terrific job with the expectation placed on an undefeated team of 2022. Still, would not surprise me one bit if they do allow Eagles direct access into Div 1. From what I have heard anyway

Not quite the same but Jake Bowey played 2 senior games for Highett as a 16 year old. Playedo on Billy Harting vs st Kilda in his first game and matched him well.

Cranbourne competed in that sub par league for a couple of seasons and didn't play off in any grand finals,if Narre and Cranbourne squared off tomorrow,I'd put my house on narre

memory a little patchy due to wanting to forget about Covid years. In saying that, moving into a 2 team comp like SFNL (St.Pauls and St.Kilda City) and win the whole thing on debut has some weight to it imho.
