The problem is with the lower clubs in particular the ones that dont have juniors, they are penalized with the points system when they recruit good players. How the hell are clubs to survive, they really need to review the way points are distributed in the lower grades.
Couldn’t agree more, the SFNL have absolutely butchered the points system, gone early on four divisions & are a genuine laughing stock. How can a senior men’s competition in metropolitan melbourne have 6 competing teams? Mind you it isn’t even the lowest division in the league! Teams have to face each other as much as four times -genuine shambles. Disappointing to hear no one would accept the offer to come up, especially Carrum, weren’t happy 14 months ago when they announced the split, wouldn’t back themselves when the opportunity came knocking. Another straight sets exit for those pea hearts! Onya caino
