David Mundy says Fremantle should give up whatever it takes to get Bolton at the club & it will be worth it.

2 first round picks have always been the marker at a bare minimum for a player of Bolton's caliber especially in contract.

Geelong gave up 3 first rounders for Cameron everyone said was overs at the time & guess what they won a Premiership, different positions but again it was list hole, Fremantle has a list hole in the position of Bolton.

Everything Fremantle do from here on should be about winning their first flag in history.
3x late first rounders
With 3x seconds coming back.

Umm, it's really not irrelevant at all. There's a reason an inexperienced team playing finals for 1st time playing against a team with experienced finals players shows dramatically a lot of the times. That's just finals in general.

When it's players playing in grand finals and winning, it's another step. That experience alone is what can & does make a player.

If they've been there before, they know the pressure.
So has Chris Judd, I wonder what he is worth nowadays....

Richmond paying part of the salary would be very useful. I wonder if they would accept saints early second rounder as the sweetener for this. It is a deep draft.

Exactly! Geez they’ve been in the comp 30 years and haven’t got near it. Sure keep the draft picks and enjoy more years of irrelevancy or pay whatever it takes to get stars into your side and make some history!

14, 17, 20 for Cameron 24 and 28

If you add 2 early 2nds, we can trade split pick 10 for two late 1sts

Yep if Richmond football department is anything like their supporters and carry on like pork chops at the trade table walls and co will simply move on to Pickett and Melbourne and offer freos exquisite bounty of picks to them.

What a disaster that would end up being for a ground zero rebuilding RFC
How good does your clubs trophy cabinet look champ.
Happy to hit the bottom for a couple of years and rebuild.
Over the next few years, finishing 16-18 will be a lot more beneficial than finishing 9-13, especially with Tasmania coming in.

Ok let’s talk to that.
13, 15, 20 and Geelong’s 4th

For

Cameron
Essendon Rd 2 estimated to be 24
GWS Rd 2 estimated to be 27

So Cameron one of the best key forwards of his generation got traded for pick 13, a 9 pick down grade, a 7 pick down grade and Geelong’s fourth round

We have pick 9…already miles in front of 13.

27 is more than enough to add to it for a player who isn’t in the top players of his generation.

Why pay three first rounders to you guys when we can pay two for Bolton and two for Pickett?

That way we got TWO instead of overpaying for Bolton. We'll depart with three first round picks don't get me wrong, theyre not all going to Richmond though.

This Pickett talk is a bit premature I think. Haven’t seen him come out and request a trade and if he did I’m not sure Melbourne would do it.

As another stated, Bolton has also said he's good to stay at Richmond if no deal can be done this year.

Also you say Tigers need the picks? They do, yeah, bit they've already got quite a decent amount of picks to start with and then add the Rioli trade with Suns, Baker with Eagles and they could definitely pick swap with a few clubs who are looking at father-son picks, etc.. for example swap picks with Lions for their 1st, Suns and even Carlton for their 1st. Lots of options for them to do.

They hold the power here not Freo
Understand what you're saying and agree with most. The only question I have would be if Richmond would pass on a trade for a decent bounty at the bottom of a rebuild? It seems like it's a no brainer that it will get done. Freo have the pick/s that Richmond want, and Richmond have the player Freo wants.

It would be a pretty big balls-up if it falls over.
