Classic midseason filler episode this week, unfortunately all too predictable formula with these "mystery box" type shows.
These kind of shows just need to have all episodes dumped at once
after a few minutes I said to my wife i bet we don't see Juliette until the last two minutes, boy was I annoyingly smug afterwards

If the episodes were all dumped at once I would probably just watch the first two and the last two, and not miss much.

Juliette's story didn't progress at all. The people had food then they didn't now they do again. A possible new mystery box about the sheriff's shaky hand but who cares. No advancement of Bernard trying to decode the hard drive that he smashed up two episodes ago.

I had completely forgotten about his hand, he is a very uninteresting character.

You're not wrong, the last two episodes will crank up the excitement then cliffhanger.

But still slow as treacle. Juliette's been in Silo 17 for 8 episodes now and her story has barely progressed. All that stuff with the Steve Zahn character might be irrelevant.
You don’t think that there being others suddenly in that silo is progression?

I agree it’s taken a while for something to really happen with her.

They are following the books (I’ve not read them) but someone mentioned a while back that this section of the story might be a bit difficult.

This last episode SUCKED hard, I just couldn't get down with the constant cutting between scenes for 90 seconds of filler.

I think this show is firmly moving into an ensemble piece rather than the Juliette show, and I'm not sure I like that.

Apart from Bernard and Lukas the rest of Silo 18 can jump.

Only 1 episode left and then 2 more years until the next season?

Maybe not 2 years. Filming of season 2 was delayed by the actor's strike. This article says production of season 3 started in October 2024.

Another article gives some teasers on the last episode in S2 and what might be in S3. Not really spoilers but I'll put tags on.

Showrunner Graham Yost "There’s a big surprise at the end of the season".

Season 3 might be set in the past when the silos were planned and built.

Having read some of the books a long time ago I was wondering if that was going to be in the show.

Well I think that last few mins might confirm the time shift!
Great last episode, I wonder what S3 has in store? As long as they find a way to keep Steve Zahn on screen I'll be happy

Yeah fantastic episode!

The Juliette and Solo scenes and chemistry are so good that you don’t want them to end.

The Bernard scenes were great too.

It’s going to be interesting to see how they deal with a likely time jump in the next season. I suspect that the show will deal with it by mixing in the past and present.

Time jump scared me a little, thought I messed something up lol.

Tim Robbins gave us an S-tier performance in someone "checking out". He was awesome.
I don’t think I’ve been paying enough attention to this show. Just double checking… we (the audience) still don’t know the big secret which made Robbins “check out” after he was told it?

Yes and no. We know whatever controls all the Silos will kill everyone in a Silo if that Silo has reached a certain level of unrest. We don't know why they would kill everyone though.

Bernard may check back in now that Juliet knows how to stop the Silos creators final solution.

It was the protocol of gassing a whole silo

Juliette was looking for the way to stop the Safeguard - that Solo's parent's discovered. I reckon there's a clue to that solution from S2 Ep 1. The boy running around is Solo and he passes on a message to the rebels that the generator is about to flood. I'm not sure if Juliette found this solution, or figured it out, before returning to Silo 18.

Also in S2 Ep 1, there appears to be a crater around Silo 17, as though a bomb might have killed everyone who tried to flee.

From the last episode. Bernard might be dead whereas Juliette is in a fire suit. I wonder why the Legacy says only Camille can stay in the vault for a chat.

I got the impression that there was the same crater around all of them wasn't there?

Still so many questions to be answered!

That ending to the final ep was interesting... weird.. I dunno?

Really good season. As last season leaves it on a cliffhanger of questions unanswered. I was wondering when the 'history' of the Silo's story was going to start. Looking forward to seeing how they play that out.
