I thought the following comment on Judd:

... was spot on. "good, but over-rated a lot".

As for the comment on the media ... that was spot on too. There was one Carlton vs Crows game this year where Judd was getting shut out of the game by Shirley, and McLeod was having a bit of a purple patch. The commentator said something along the lines that McLeod was as influential as Judd ... but the stats man piped up and pointed out that McLeod had had twice the possessions of Judd!

The the original commentator then tried to claim that Judd's possessions were twice as important as McLeod's. McLeod, of all players!

I mean really ... how lame was that?

Sounds like some of the shit that Robert Walls or The Ox would spin.
Do you know next year will be Year of the Ox? heaven help us.

Carn the Cuz!!

I'm still on a high.

If Deledio, Cotchin and Tambling all have big years I reckon we'll be a chance to finish top 4.

Bling has bulked up as much as any player over the holidays, might be his year with all the pressure now gone.

i wouldnt expect too much, you should definately expect top 8 but top 4 is probably still way out of your reach imo

a very good midfeild however imo cousins will only play around 10 games, his hamstrings have been a continuous problem for a while now and i cant see him rectifying that, he has been training the last year yes but i doubt its to the level of physical pressure that a listed afl player would have gone through and therefore once the season starts i dont think his hammies will be able to stand the pressure.

deledio should go from the very good level into the elite level imo
cotchin should improve although i dont think you can expect too much from a second year player

the big worry this year for richmond is key position players, you have some good young KP players but i wouldnt expect any of them to put you in top 4 contention just yet, another year and maybe. reiwoldt, hughes and moore have shown they can do the job on occasions however i wouldnt expect them to maintain a high enough level to push the tigers into top 4 contention.

I reckon Richmond should go all the way this year ..they already had the team and now with the superman in Cousins they should take out the premiership in a canter , no other team will be able to match their awesome midfield defence and forward line .

Get on them..there is some easy money to be made off the stupid bookies. :thumbsu:

A round of applause everybody, this gentleman has shown us exactly how wrong it can go when an asshat attempts subtlety. use it as a warning.

He really hasnt had that much hammie trouble. Richo has had far more

Personally i see Port as the smokie to do it especially with a heap of home games they get and they are allways a chance in Melbourne.

The next line is Carlton/Richmond who i rate as equal in terms of continuing the trend. Apart from those 3 teams i cant see anyone else making it. :)

I think we get 11 Home games and 12 at our home venue.
In 2008 I think we won 2 or 3 of these!

I appreciate that you rate our chances though, it is always refereshing hearing a Victorian speak without bias.

I agree with you - the best (and only) chances are Port, Richmond and Carlton.

port are a genuine chance because they were tipped out in a lot of close games last year, they're competitive, just lacked a bit of mental strength - coming off the grand final in 07 this was no surprise.

i can't see this being the first year the outside8-top4 bounce doesn't happen...doggies, saints, crows, swans all to sink - collingwood far from a certainty to assume 3rd...kangas are always thereabouts but laidley is reaching neale daniher proportions of the message not getting through...tigs, port, carlton, essendon if their best 22 is fit and even west coast are a show

Port followed by Richmond, Carlton, Brisbane. In the end it will come down to a handful of games going one way or the other.
