We need him to bring more to the table than well barbered facial hair...

Fish is a very valuable forward when up and running, but there is a danger picking blokes that can only play in one spot on the park...it's ok if they are A-graders...he needs to be alot better more often

Fire up Fish!!! :thumbsu:

As good as fish can be I just dont see him being the guy we need to lift our forward line, hopefully he can get a little mongrel into his game which might help.

I'm not sure to be honest if Fisher is going to actually be much of a better player then what he is now, I fear he has peaked and that it's going to be more downhill from hereon in for the rest of his career (certainly his kicking at goal is now cactus)

Im with you

1 string to his bow in his marking ( and he aint Stewie Leowe ), the rest of his game is below par.

I think he is on borrowed time and will be offered to GC17 come seasons end.

Most overrated player at Carlton by many on this board

I claimed Fish was the barometer of our side a year or so back. He promptly repaid me by having a fairly average season.

I will steer clear of that line of thinking and quietly hope in the background, he has a Brad Pearce like season.

Fisher is ok as long as he stays injury free. He is not a gun and never will be, but he is a good handy player. If he can kick straight and get us 2 goals a game I will be quite happy.

If he goes to the Gold Coast Football Club at the end of the 2009 season, that means he will have been delisted by our club & recruited by Gold Coast to play in their 2010 VFL team. If you are hoping to get any draft picks for Fisher, it will have to wait until the end of the 2010 season.

Fish may lack a bit of weight, penetration in his kick and maybe a bit of confidence but he is certainly worth more than just throwing him out there for a hopeful in the trade.

The guy is 24 years old, is 192 cm and marks better than probably any player in our team. He runs all day providing leads to the wings as a link up player, chases and stands up in a pack with his eyes on the ball.

Yes he gets injured a bit and it this has affected his pre-seasons. Maybe because this year is only an elbow, we'll see him come into a bit of form. I have a feeling with another small in the forward line and better team balance, Fish will have a good year.

Yeah he was offerred just a 2 year deal right ?

IMO he has little trade value to anyone but a new "franchise", and even then a 3rd rounder at best
