I always found that a little odd, too.

I've never been fortunate enough to have 4.1 kilograms of hooch in my possession, but I'd assume that it would be unusually bulky when you picked it up.

And given that a typical boogie weighs in at only about 1.5 kilograms (throw in about that much again for the board cover), it's well over double the original weight when you were to pick it up.
