I really like Harder but he doesnt have enough tricks for AFL level. He'd get lost in the extra pace.

Beard has done the last two pre seasons with us. Might be worth another look.

Very impressed with Brayden O'Hara today - 23yo 183cm left foot wingers type with a beautiful kick and good pace. Good overhead. Was considered a rookie chance in previous seasons.

Justin Hardy kept Mercer quiet today - 23yo 196cm fullback. Strong and a good kick.

Beard and Milera still playing well for the Pies as mentioned in another thread.

Have any of you guys seen Tom Derham play at Port?

He's from Broken Hill but has moved to Adelaide. State junior cricketer. Was playing for Pooraka and burning up in their A's. The Pooraka barman told Port to get him out for a look. Apparently he goes ok? Only played 18's so far I think.

Watching the ABC game today and they highlighted him at half time during the under 18 wrap up. Commentators said lots of good things about him including what you've just said.

IIRC he kicked 5 goals this week in their win over Sturt. However, looking at him he seemed a bit small for a forward and a few of his marking highlights were less than impressive (couple of lucky double takes... he wouldn't get at higher levels).

But still he is doing well so far at that level... hope he continues.

They also highlighted a Sturt's best who got about 30 odd possessions and a goal... but he looked impressive moving in traffic. Forget his name tho.

what about Myles Sewell, only 23-24 I thought and was very close to getting to a club last year. Won a Liston trophy and always has high wraps coming up to the Drafts period. Although thought I read GWS were really keen on him

I deffinetly would he was getting games over Kennedy, now at Sydney, prior to the incidents. He has EXACTLY what we need and is ready to go from the get go! Ild rather have him than Kane, Davenport, Pettigrew and Westhoff (both) on our list. His on field ability should out weigh the off field issues for the first year, however in his contract it should state random Drug and Alcohol testing on a weekly basis.
