Thoughts on Div 2 Grand Final this weekend, Doveton to keep momentum going or can Chelsea Heights win through to Div 1 next season

Long term for the betterment of the league it would be better if Doveton won. I think they would fit in well in D1- have u19s and will make some sort

Long term for the betterment of the league Doveton going up to D1 would be best. They could make an immediate impact and win some games and have u19s so are well placed for the future. Chelsea Hts are a bit hit and miss. Having said all that I reckon Doveton to win anyway.
In the Reserves the laughing stock of Reserve grade football for the past 20 odd years East Brighton will get up!

Interesting down at Chelsea Heights as they seem to be in a better position than Chelsea who are now stuck in 2nd Div MPNFL with Clubs like Edi Asp, Seaford etc who are no longer competitive in Div 1

They have a good young list and depth with there 2s winning the flag not sure why but they had a fair few players that should of been regular ones players playing 2s a lot And from what I’m told it was by there choice I’m sure jewell won’t put up with that if they add a few good mpnfl players they could be a really good side I think

Only 1 or 2 downie peninsula way but every club is currently trying to recruit players so no big surprise EB are.

Righto, who's got the inside word on new recruits for season 2023 (on and off the field of course).

All quiet down at East Malvern at the moment, still observing the mandatory 90 day mourning period that is afforded to relegated clubs.

Looks like Nick Jewell has hit the ground running at East Brighton, who have already landed some decent recruits. This includes Ryan Semmel. Has had more clubs than Tiger Woods but will tear it up in Div. 2. Heard he can be a bit divisive and despite his on-field abilities, his short stint at Mordy was not all smooth sailing. They have also lured some handy types from the MPNFL. Expect them to go well in 2023.
