100% agree that Barr is massively overrated!
Cellini was all the talk at the start of last year and then went missing... Seems to be dominating now though and Tormey ducks his head more than Lindsay Thomas but he is a clearance machine and sneaks forward to kick a few, you won't see him running the other way though, not much of a team player but then again who is at Lyndale..

Top five players for me are ... Wilkin, dewar, lello,Cellini , dent ... Mouritz, Williams , not far behind and Stanton from ashwood on his day can be a real match winner....
 
Tormey??? What I saw on Saturday and heard about him, no way he's in the top 30 let alone top 5

Might as well call him the next Joel Selwood not that he has the skills of Selwood but the way he ducks his head, looking for easy free kicks, I've never seen him on his man when the ball gets turned over or any defensive pressure. Looks like even I can come out of retirement and win best and fairest at lyndale

Dwear is an absolute machine, it's my privilege to watch someone like him every week, not only can he play foward but also around the ground.

One on one, no one can even tie his shoelace

Put Williams 3rd and push out Dent and I'll agree with you... Williams should have won the league b&f last year, missed the last 5-6 games and finished a vote behind Stacey. Probably wasn't as good as Stacey but with Gough, Wilkin, Beecroft etc.. taking votes off him at Mount, Williams should of snagged it!!
 
jeremy nelson is the best player jn the league by lightyears.... most athletic play i have seen in the sfl. quickest first step in victoria

Hahaha! Best post iv read in a long time! Has he even got a vote in div 3 ever? Not really sure he knows what a footy feels like the wonders of that must make him absolutely bonkers!

Lol, Barr overrated.... didn't he finish third by 2 votes after missing 3-4 games?

The same guy that knocked back 600 a game from Mordi?

The CPL boys are very underrated on here.

I'm not surprised you don't rate him. Didn't you square up to him with about a foot in height and 50kgs on him, and he turned you into a punching bag?

Also no 25 from the dragons is an absolute freak and right up there in the best. Last week when we versed them he was the only one who stood out from the rest. It's a shame for someone so talented to play at the dragons because they are going to finish outright last with no wins.

I totally agree and I know who you are talking about. Absolute freak playing chb and rebounding from half back, Not only that kicking goals and playing ruck. I feel sorry for him and a few other southern dragon players.

Weren't they in division 2 couple years ago and were competing and doing not too bad, and look at them now can't get a win

Most div 1 clubs don't offer that money to hacks, and he's been at that level before, he was a A grade VAFA player.

Lello, Mouritz and Barr are their best 3 players, their former is the most important because he's the best ruck in the league and their one genuine gun tall.

If anyone thinks they want to play CPL in finals, they are kidding themselves

You meant latter right? Lello doesn't even play ruck. Maybe you don't know what former means, but it means the first mention in the previous statement. English as second language aside, I've only played CPL once, and Lello didn't do much. They moved him from the guts to HFF in the second half to try and get him in the game, which failed miserably and then he gave up "team structure" to go chase a kick himself.

Perhaps an off game, but Lello is their best player by a long way.

When we played them. He wasnt anything special. Their other mid hatzis was though. Very tough to tackle and didnt have a problem finding it.

Quite liked this summary no I'm currently in Queensland playing but looking for a change most of my team mates are all down there now spread through the Bendigo league.
