On a lighter note... who will give away our first 50m penalty for rolling their eyes? With Maynard out I'm suspecting it will be Adams?
Not talking about that particular rule so much, but I hope that the message has gone out to the umps that the last two games were over officiated.

Hope that the AFL will make a sensible decision…
Unlikely.

Razor has to be a pies fan or something good lord id love to know some stats behind how many times he's been the umpire for our games because it feels like every week if not second week.
Don Jolly was certainly NOT a Pies fan in the '70's - I won't say he cost us flags but by god he always made sure we worked 3 times as hard for any free than any other team.

As for Razor my opinion would get me banned for language.

I’ve not seen anything of McInnes (u18’s, VFL, practice matches) to suggest he’s ready to replace McCreery as a pressure forward which was the suggestion. I’m on the record as saying he’s the kid I’m most excited about from all our additions over the last few years (ND may usurp him pretty quickly) and I’d love to see him getting senior opportunity. Just disagree it should be for McCreery. Bianco perhaps.

McInness can play as a resting mid forward… did so during his NAB days and has a great mixture of height, speed, that make the forward line (with the occasional rotation into midfield) a good place to blood him as Quicky said

Or you can play McReery who is more limited and clearly not in much form 🤷‍♂️

Is tonight a sell out?

Self-banned myself from marvel after too many negative games (Flying up to qld for the game vs bris only go fly back to go to a game we lose after the siren was icing on the cake)

The itch is too strong and I am going to un-ban myself, but seems like tickets are not available on ticketmaster?

....ugh if i have to go through commercial resellers

Perhaps if they had first names instead of 2 surnames, we could distinguish them.
At this stage, they are 4 different people as far as i'm concerned...
:p
I think they're characters from a B grade teen flick. Cooper Murley is the muscular jock who bullies the nerdy, but likeable, Harvey Harrison. The hot cheerleader is dating Cooper, but is friends with Harvey, who is madly in love with her.

I don't think it needs to be an either or decision. I'd play both. If you want strong forward pressure it's a group effort. The big thing for me is finding a role he can contribute in to gain experience until he is ready to play midfield. It also builds flexibility and depth/future planning for the De Goey/Elliott role for down the track.

I’m happy for McInnes to focus on his midfield development until he gets his chance. That doesn’t preclude him getting exposure both forward or back at VFL level, but does require he earn his senior opportunity.

We do get an overload of RAY

I'm not too worried about his possession count. The way I view midfield is there is two very different aspects - stoppage and general play. We're quite strong in terms of blokes who can link up in general play, but are weak in terms of stoppage. Tyler doesn't have much idea about how to spread and link up in general play, but he can still be valuable if he becomes good enough around stoppage, even if he still gets a low possession count due to not getting the ball on the spread. Not sure if it will happen, but I see stoppage as the area he needs to improve in to become valuable.

I agree with your comments about stoppages. We need something extra in there. But even so I do still think you need greater production than 15d to be AFL relevant for the role.

I haven’t questioned his ability to play either forward or back, just asked when he’d added “pressure forward” to his repertoire as the opening gambit in this discussion was a suggestion he replace McCreery in that role. It’s not like McInnes has any form this preseason.
