Long has shown a bit, Sinclair has been poor but is undoubtedly talented. I wouldn't drop either of those.

I've tried to find positives and the way I did this was to try and work out who were our best players

Who stood up when everyone else was failing?

Carlisle was good - 11 marks, 2 contested, 12 kicks, 7 1%ers, 2 tackles and a goal
Webster was very good for three quarters but he tired and was shit in the last quarter - reasonably expected considering the amount of work he had to do
Geary - 13 CP, 6 marks, 4 tackles, 25 disposals, 6 1%ers, but defence was poorly organised with frequent overlaps
Ross copped the hard tag from Jacobs and was beaten by him on the day, but didn't give in and fought his way back to relevance
Gresham was quiet for stretches but still contributed despite starved of opportunity
Same Long - he is a very dangerous player with great skills
Bruce worked really hard including 10 CP and battled in the ruck - at least he looked like he tried

well i try to be positive on here but its hard when thats close to the worst game ive seen us play in my almost 34 years on the planet.
the reason? not one single player really so not worth naming any in particular but our issue today was no HEART.
To all the paddy baggers, yeh he dropped a sitter chest mark then took a great contested grab and 0.2 for the day, but the delievery to him and the other fwds was worse than putrid today and i doubt buddy up fwd would of kicked a goal today for the saints. Paddy still needs gametime and should be first selected each week this year, only way he is going to improve.
Jack steven, acres, carlisle the only ones who can hold their heads pretty high tonight, couple others did ok but simply too many passengers today.
not gunna win next few weeks but gotta show some heart and effort

But this club, this coach and these players are ****ed.

This coach couldn't any of our boys to get a root at a brothel let alone at football. He is clueless and his structures constantly get destroyed by opposing coaches. He can't see to extract an ounce of consistency other then the ability to consistently let us down. Time to go. NOW!

Watching Adelaide leadership group bring some fire to the game last night, playing with some emotion and character, sticking up for the young guys, getting everyone revved up and grabbing the game by the scruff of the neck and winning it. Important game and they took a stand.

to me both long (8 touches) and hunter (7 touches) could be dropped along with longer and mcartin

i would play hickey and marshall due to the fact they are up against jacobs and jenkins

Purely gutless display of football. North supporters were literally laughing at our players and unfortunately I was shaking my head in agreement. We were terrible. Our skills were putrid, decision making poor and strategy non existent.

We had a very bad day. As bad as I can remember. But that’s all it is for now. A bad day, a one off, let’s not right off the year.

I remember Richmond having a a bad day Round 16 last year. Worked wonders for the remainder of their year! Let’s just be glad it wasn’t against a top 4 side otherwise we’d be looking at a 100 point margin. The boys will be gutted from this, and there is no better motivator than redemption.

Richmond had 9 wins under the belt at round 16 last year. Before this "bad day" we put in insipid performances in the two preseason games, then stumbled over a pretty poor Brisbane side last round. Not to mention a pretty underwhelming season last year. It's not just a bad day, it's a long-term trend.
