Okay. I've had some time to reflect and I'm still ******* fuming.

I can't recall saying a bad word about the coach with regards to his job security. I'm sure I've probably questioned his game plan and lack of direction before, but I've never called for his head. Tonight, as a St Kilda supporter (finals aside) this was the most embarrassing performance I can remember in my time following the club. We've had plenty of them, but I challenge anyone to recall a worse game.

The signs were there last week. We got smashed in clearances by Brisbane by 17 and played pathetic, but we were just lucky that Brisbane couldn't run with us in the end. To come out on Good Friday, a prime time slot gifted to us by Gil, a chance to make it our own and state our intent, and we completely shit the bed when the opportunity arose. North dominated from start to finish and it was only a matter of time before they would start to kick straight and put us away, and that's the way it is.

They're a bottom 4 side. Today, we were the bottom 4 side and they made us look like clowns. It was very clear that we had no structure, no game plan and no intent to win this game of football. Flat footed right from the get go and they rightfully made us look like the side we were 4 years ago. North Melbourne. What a ****ing insult.

Who does that come down to? Do we blame the players? Of course we do, they were pathetic and put in a spineless performance for the whole country to see on the big stage (deja vu anyone?). Where was the leadership, the guidance that the players required? Everyone was looking around, not knowing what to do. It was the same for most of last week too. We'll never have a better opportunity to go 2-0 and build a great percentage to kick start the year. Instead, we're 1-1 and 84% with a month of an absolute nightmare of a fixture coming up - Adelaide, Geelong (away), GWS and Hawthorn (Tasmania). Based on today and last week, we can expect to be 1-5 with an average losing margin of 12+ goals.

Paddy McCartin. Love the kid, think he's going to be a very good player. Shockingly low on confidence but we need to persist with him, there's no alternative. The players need to get around him and show some support, and that they ****ing care. Sinclair and Steele are shadows of the players they were last year. Billy Longer put in a performance worthy of a VFL reserves game for the second week running, looking like he's been on a bangers and mash diet in the off season. Membrey has no confidence and Roberton was equally poor. Jimmy Webster has always been a player I haven't cared much for, not much has changed. He won't be in our best 22 if we're to improve, just butchers it way too much. More turnovers than anyone on the ground, yet he's supposedly one of our better today? Shows how pathetic we were.

Carlisle, Geary, Acres can hold their heads high, Billings was poor for his standards but had no help. Gresham, Armitage and Bruce get a pass mark for me too. Hunter Clark will be a jet, but he's probably not ready for senior footy and that's fine, I have no issue with that. The rest of the team should be embarrassed with themselves, and should be making large donations to the Good Friday Appeal. $1,000 for every shot on goal they had today minimum, then go and match it with what North had as well. $48,000 all up is peanuts. It's the least they can do, and should be doing regardless of the result to be honest, go and support a great cause.

Alan Richardson is a great development coach who has done a lot for our group and no one can take that away from him. But he's simply not the man to take us forward. He's just another Brendan McCartney. I wish for once he'd come out and tell it like it is, because he seems scared to tell the media what he really thinks of these piss poor performances. Of course the club won't do anything, nor will our players care enough to give a response or even apologise for that tripe so I've just wasted 15 minutes writing this up.

Thank you St Kilda for putting in yet another performance that only you are capable of. Harden the **** up have a crack for once, please.

Plenty of research out there that shows that money is a shitty motivator. It's irrelevant what they're paid. Motivation is about 50% of a coach's job.

When the time came to make that call we had no idea how long Roo had left, how Membrey wpuld turn our or if Bruce could play forward.

We also didnt know we would be in a position to draft Battle and Marshall.

Finally, we had just seen the Buddy deal go down AND the Dogs giving up pick 6 plus THEIR CAPTAIN for an unproven Tom Boyd.

A KPF costs a fortune on the market and at the time of the draft we had 2/10ths of **** all coming through behind Riewoldt.

You could argue drafting Wright over Paddy. You can definately say we should have taken the GWS deal, drafted Wright and Laverde or Lever, but the call to take the #1 KPF over the #1 mid wasnt wrong.

Sure, that's the logic, but it was wrong at the time and it's still wrong. You can win a flag without top quality key forwards. You can't win a flag without one of the best few midfields. We should have taken mids, mids and more mids, and worried about the talls later.

I went through the pain of those grand finals like all of you. But I was patient I believed in the rebuild. When the doggies won I stayed the course and kept calm .when the tigers won it hurt as most of my family barrack for them .but stayed the course... But to see what we dished up today in a game that was the clubs big chance at having a big game on the footy calendar and no longer can I keep calm and stay the course.

I want us to close our doors and fold. It's just easier then doing this year in and year out hoping we luck into a flag. 52 years since 1966 and let me tell you something .We are way off right now.

It's only my love for this club that is stopping me from going nuclear as a supporter and walking away for good. This is pathetic and we ALL deserve better .

What disappointments me the most is a large group of our players are better than the performance they put in today. And I don't know whether it is an effort issue, or whether they aren't being given the opportunity to succeed, or both? But we are better than the shit we put out there today.

And I have zero confidence that anyone at the club will do anything to rectify this.
