Got here late, Lewis has kicked 3 since.
Gunston has 1, should’ve had another but was touched from 45 out with a snap.

Worpel, Ward and Newk have been impressive.
If Lewis gets one more, it would almost be the first time he has kicked 4 in Hawthorn colours. Who is playing on him?

Brockman applying great pressure up forward, crafty snapped finish after Sicily took to long to find an option.
Brockman is not out there. That’s the Dooch.

Q3: (P3)

Actually end of 2nd quarter. They take 5-10 min breaks throughout the game. But keep these as a time markers more than anything.

Straight off the bounce Jaeger gets it 80-90 from home, breaks away clear for a lovely finish from 45m out

Gunston is like fully back… x3

Ward has a seriously nous for finding the right spots and getting the ball. You tend to forget his age coz when you see him gets it his the build of a 22+

Ned Long… hey you’re doing okay too

Morrison doing good things off HB but given competition for spots in that position, idk how much footy he will see.

JOM 🐂

Mitch Lewis looking good, another set shot - 0.1

Bramble on kick outs for brown

Emerson Jeka is no bueno. More muscle though

Big mark to start the quarter by what looks a fill in #56. Got a rise out of the small crowd that was here.

Moore got them dancing shoes on, and funnily enough spots his El Padre Bruest with a crafty kick. Breust Points - dobbed a nice wrap to end the half/game.

Finn gets a bit of it, disposal always questionable though. Instructions from Sic.

Gold: 13.4 82

Brown: 7.6 48

He got his fourth, had his hand in a couple of others. Competed really hard. Had Hartigan and/or Frost most of the day.

Maginness’s work in the contest is top notch. Just holds the ball and takes the tackle, then releases to a teammate. Get his kicking right and we’re looking at a very good player.

Would you be able to elaborate on the Ned Long and Jeka comments?

What does no bueno mean?

By the way if you were picking the ruck tomorrow on today showing it’s Reeves by a distance.

His tapwork today was great, at one stage in the center bounce he tapped one over the top of the entire contest into the free space tbst Jager ran onto and straight towards the goals and belted it home from 40 out. It was textbook.

Jek didn’t get near it much today but it wasn’t help buy some of the delivery to be honest.

We will have to get used to seeing that. He can obviously become much more attacking

Love the fact that we can rest Big Boy up forward whilst letting Ned and Max duke it out. Massive win for all three rucks and if they can stay injury free, we can really manage Big Boy to greater effect in the upcoming season. Really pumped about our mix of rucks - this will surely have a a far bigger positive impact on our midfielders going forward

I'm not concerned at all by Finn's disposal, as long a she is getting plenty on it he can refine that weakness as he gains more experience. Seem to have made a massive improvement on last year where he struggled to get a decent amount of possessions

Teams look like they have changed to almost probables v Possibles (brown probs/ gold poss) (excluding Hardwick in gold)

Mitch Lewis again, misses from 30 out granted playing on an undermanned opponent (#51 - might be a VFL top up) mobility wise, he’s looking great. Gold have a relative no name defence though. Still looks great.

2.1 for the term

Moore 2 goals - covering such good ground and works

hard. (my MVP today) kid has the goods.

C Mac looking good (Brown team)

Newcombe (brown) tends to be in and around a lot. Has a hard edge too. Nice set shot goal.

Scores reset

Brown: 5.1 31

Gold 0.2

who's in the probables?

Newcomb Titch Worpel mids (JOM bench brown)

Worpel MacDonald wings to start this term

MacDonald rotating wing on ball with Ward

Gunner looks really fit. Continues to lead hard in his trademark way. That high half forward
Newcomb is hardened, tackles hard and gets the pill.
C Mac has come into the game heaps playing with the more experienced players, kicks well and is a polished player. Got a lot of pill in that portion of the game. 1.1 and 6 or so touches in that Qtr.

Sound like a broken record about Moore but kicked what I think is his 4th. The gold backline is all undermanned but he really is putting together a game that shows even more growth from how he ended last year.

Brown 8.4 52

Gold 1.2 8
