Outside of these seven players:
Jones
Hamill
McHenry
Fogarty
McAsey
Doedee
O'Brien

Is anyone excited by the future (2 or 3+ years time) of anyone in the 22 today?

Is seven in that category enough? About right? You obviously need some senior support and foot soldiers around your young talent. We've seen teams with kids leading kids and it's a decade plus in the doldrums but what is the right number?

No but the attitude still is, see crouch bro’s running 1 way only last week
Yeah I hate seeing that but it's more on the player than the coach. I'm sure not even Campo said 'Don't chase'.

Tagging is another matter. Can't stand opposition champion playmakers running around like unregistered dogs while our worst midfielder is 'backed in', running around chasing their own tail rather than trying to limit a star's output. Hopefully that'll change or we've learnt nothing.

I mean, Doedee has been around for a while and O'Brien is 25 so kids is probably a bit generous for both of them.

Our issue is who our senior support is and how the lot of them just look broken. So no, it's not enough seeing we'll probably need 11-13 that weren't involved in 2017 grand final, the camp, and everything which happened in the last year to truly get a fresh start. We'll also need to recruit a senior player or two just to supplement it.

In this 22 not overly, but I'm hoping over the next month or so we add another 3 or 4 to that list and see Davis again. IMO that's the number, probably 10 or 11. Given the high end talent we are likely to have access to in the next 2/3 years it sets a solid base.

Nicks sounds like he wants to stick with these kids and then it's about cherry picking senior guys around them. Talia and Sloane are the 2 obvious ones here already, but we need the middle tier of Laird, Mrouch, Brown and co to lift their rating.

Both could quite easily play a part in our next push though, so they are considered future.

If we had a guy like Hately and another quality mid, we have a decent core for 2023 -28.

Our KPP young talent is quite good.

Would like to see Butts get some games this year. McAsey up front.

It's also not unlikely that if we play more kids, we'll find one or two who will be a part of that core.
