Was that by using the magic number of 5252?
Might I ask how you reached this figure GS? Is it the same as previous year's? Have you added x% to previous ones? Or is it a pure guess?

I disagree with your assessment of Coughlan though. Read the link I posted a while back in this thread, I believe Coughlan will either remain at the same price, or go up in price marginally.

Jed Adcock is another cert.

Gonna get as many midfielders in the forward line or back line as i can. Start with rookies in the middle, and upgrade them systematically.

Gonna try and find as many midfield rookies as possible.

I've already done my Supercoach for next year based on this years averages, I've got a really solid line up with 256,000 surplus aswell.

That's just a touch keen.

3 year rule? Explain please :D

There's a perception that 3rd year players are most likely to 'break out' and become elite players; like Marc Murphy stepped up this year. It doesn't always work out, but if you factor in this rule next year you'd consider getting Gibbs, Boak and J Selwood, to name a few.

Your point?

He thinks you have no life! :D

Nah just kidding! Good to get some groundwork for next year. I have started thinking of my team for next year too but its all in my head at the moment. Will print off the top 20 lists of defenders, forwards, midfielders and rucks at the end of next week and keep them for next years formation of my team! :p

Well he should look at things from other peoples point of view not his own, I was going to play this year but because I forgot to register one emergency they disqualified my team. I have been waiting all year to play and now the time has come I'm just a bit excited.

Anyway enough wasting the thread on trolls, so who do you reckon should be a premium player who goes captain each week next year, I'm considering Bartel.

Well my season is over. lol.

Anyway, does anybody know how the prices are calculated for the 1st year draftees?

Right now, im going on the prices for the same number as last year, and the Phantom Drafts as a basis for selecting the current draftees.

Example; ill have Jack Watts as Number 1 pick, same price as Kreuzer last year.

This year my team was given a big fat zero first round..even though I had fully selected my team, I believe could possibly have been in the middle of a trade when the big slowdown and ultimate complete failure of the supercoach servers to handle the load left me in limbo. As a result their software deemed it wise to just remove all my backmen altogether and give me 0 for it.

With the fixturing over Easter that was the problem this year I think...with Thursday matches...will this be an issue again every year? Do I have to wait till the season fixtures come out?

Players to keep an eye on for next year:
Shaw (will be fairly cheap due to poor form)
Roughead (If in named in defence)
J.McNamara (He looks to be a fairly decent player)
DalSanto (SC God)
Hodge (Same as Dal)
Cox (Plays like a big midfielder)
Buddy (only 21 and scoring massive he's still learning)
Pav (Great Player, very consistent)

And see these players in the pre season
Coughlan (See if hes fit)
Haselby ( see if hes fit)
Cousins (If he plays)
and a few draftees such as
Rich
NicNat
Watts
etc..

The midfield will be interesing i reckon.

Judd will be the premium i buy. Next year with a pre-season and an improved side, he'll go berserk.

Kerr i reckon will be a bit of a cheapie. Nothing outstanding, but definatley something to look at. Has proven he is a nut of a SCer. And if he swaps clubs, might benefit.

Cousins and Coughlan are obvious buys, although depending on their pre-season.

That leaves four spots for rookies. Which i think will be a good strategy to use.

Can somebody give me a rough guide of midfielders who are named in Back/Forward spots? :thumbsu:
