I’m not sure that’s the case this year…inaccuracy in front of goal cost us at least 3 games this year

I truly believe we are now seeing the effects of the coaching team gelling and the new fitness guys regime taking effect. The run is eerily similar to that of GWS last year from where fitness guy came from

And some hard work in selection over a period of time. Jamarra was not gifted games early and now it’s paying dividends

Just done the ladder predictor and I’ve got us a decent chance of playing off against Lions in the granny.

If the universe can grant me the opportunity to watch us snatch a medal from around Dunkleys neck I will never ask for anything again.

I think I prefer Coffield as the third tall/medium sized defender. Khamis has been very good since coming back into the team but he does cause some heart in mouth moments especially when he disposes of it. It is a nice problem to have with having one in the team and one as depth.

I have great confidence in Buku's aerial skills and reading the game. He's been a slow burn but has come on with a new line coach. Might need more time!

After tipping the dogs every week like I always do and seeing them cost me, 3 weeks back I tipped Carlton, then Geelong and then Sydney. We haven’t lost since so Melbourne is already locked in for the win this weeks.

Much like the flag did to me in 2016, my betting account is copping an absolute ****ing hiding. Backing the opposition every week (except for bloody Port which I missed as I was busy pre-game ) gets the results, but the financial aspect is getting a bit much now.

Very nervous about all of the unbridled confidence in this thread.

Kudos for your apology but you need to ease up on VDM. His run is absolutely important to us. His role is not to kick chase it’s to run hard and fill the defensive space. It’s what leads to turnovers and then our ability to score from them by rebounding at pace

I was at the game last night. I still see nothing as to why he is selected. Costly misses, ridiculous baiting of opposition, poor skills, poor decision making, burning of teammates.
I'm not sure how it can be judged any other way.
He gives run and maybe fwd pressure but is that enough when you can't convert?

Agreed. It seemed like he made a mistake every time he had the ball

Thought he was OK last night when he was in the vicinity of the ball. And he did crunch May.

I guess its dawning that he is an elite running animal, and what he provides in that department cant be duplicated by other players who may be better with the ball.

We all kind of fear Bevs gold pass for mediocre players that get played for most of a season, then delisted. But maybe VDM is not that.

Coudl yet improve his skills and decision making - has only 63 games under his belt due to many inury interupted seasons
