One thing did like about comments about the umpiring said how poor it was and how can deflate l side the umps definately did a great job in 2nd quarter got gws right back into game .
Not sure why but when play Gws always finish with bad injuries .

Spot on. It'd be hypocritical of us to explain with our academies and what not but I still think the AFL have put themselves in a tough place by giving GWS what they have. The people that are saying it won't be as bad as people think are hoping more than anything because we just saw a team absolutely belt us and they aren't even at their peak yet! (We WERE minor premiers ffs!) They'll dominate for a while yet methinks and the noise is going to get louder and this time I am on their side.
Funny though how some compare/equate their concessions to ours. No comparison.

I watched the whole GF (great game too!) and couldn't help noticing that the NEAFL umps are pretty good, at least the ones who umpired the GF. Apart from a couple of clangers they seem to give the bloke going for the ball every opportunity to get rid of it. If no prior opportunity and the ball pops out......play on..... like it should be. Very few incorect disposals given, in contrast to AFL umpires, who are red hot on this.

The clanger late on for the 'high' shot on the ducking Giants player wasn't so good - after they'd basically put the whistles away for the 10-15 minutes before that - was a big call at a critical moment (Should have been a throw up 15 metres out from our goal).

But in general, they let it flow a lot more than AFL - while I'd like to see some more incorrect disposals given in general, they do a decent job and the game often flows better as a result.

The crouching tiger routine of one of them at centre bounces was entertaining too :)

MRP given Finlayson 4 weeks down to 3 weeks with an early plea for his dog act on Jones.

That is what Stevie J should have got as well. At least he will be punished for what was a dog act - but very well may have been a winning dog act too, as Jones was having quite a strong influence at that stage.
