Teams Team Development (Final Two Weeks)

FWIW, this is my "ah sh*t there are no rookies named!" team for next week. Would be interested to get peoples thoughts...




17 non-rookies with only 5 rookies on field. All 17 have a chance of being premiums, probably the best options I could find, however all have varying amounts of risk.

The way I see it the off-set of rookies and having less trades to get a full team will ensure more trades to save my ass if these players flop.

I think I also have a good mix of top line scorers and captaincy options, maybe with the exception of a Shaw or Docherty in the backline.

What do people think?

Just after some feedback on team! $11 k in the bank but if i need to free up cash I will go Pendles into Treloar & Doc into Shaw.
My only selection I'm not really sure on is O'Meara however I'm not sure how else to use that cash. Avoiding mid-priced players apart from Beams & Sandilands as I feel they're worth the risk.

Keeffe, Scharenberg are bad picks imo, even if they play R1. Try one (or both) of the Kangas boys, and maybe Marchbank if you can afford him.

Like the JJK pick and backline is awesome.
Only problem I see is no Gawn bu5 that could work out well for you so back your gut in I say.

The big changes I have made are Jones in defence, as I can't trust any of the rookies being guaranteed spots from week to week. Witts comes in as my more expensive cashcow, I see him as the cheaper equivalent of Marchbank, so i'm not too fussed. Plus he provides cover for Nank and Sandi in the short term whilst he generates cash. Not sure about Parfitt,

Ryan takes the place as my captains loophole. He should get a go at some stage during the season so it saves a trade down as well - a future cashcow investment, if you will. Just not sure if I should ditch EVW in order to do it, though.

I've been eyeing off Steele since he entered the comp and was always on the verge of exploding. I just couldn't resist re-shuffling my team in order to fit him in. Turner has posted solid scores this year, and whilst i'm not confident in his consistent scoring, he is cheaper than other options in WHE and will get a game every week. As for Bowes; I just love the way he goes about it. Supremely talented player, who I am calling early to be the SC bolter ahead of Ainsworth and Brodie.

My midfield is set and forget. Confident that Danger, Pendles, Kennedy, Treloar, Fyfe and Beams will all finish in the Top 10, injuries aside.

In every line you have one unique option except the back line.
Shouldve locked Butler in at D1.
