Too many clubs looking to trade future picks into this draft suggests to me the premium will far outweigh the worth.

We’ve made our bed and I think I’d prefer to just keep it as it is.

Take our first two picks, hope for a slider or someone we really like with a late pick and hope Champion gets through to cat B.

No need to clog the list up with lots of two year contracts we don’t love. Reset and go again next year.

Hotton does look an utter jet if he gets fit, I'm staying positive on this one. Fingers crossed, it's not the worst pick.
He’s got fairly average kicking skills but his athletic prowess before his ACL was probably the best in the pool. If we do take him I hope the chat of him having a poor start to rehab is off the mark.

Would people be melting with FOS at 3, like they are with Hotton at 12. I struggle to see much between them bar Hotton missing the start of next season.

Look harder.

Contrary to what seems popular here, I would be OK with Shanahan at 12. I would then want us to get back into the draft and get 2 of Gross, Hynes, Hannaford, Moraes, etc with a late R1 purchase and our pick 26. I suspect we will take a tall, so whether that is at 12, 26 or a later pick, it is about the mix.

It won't be popular but there again, our picks apart from Harley have of late been unpopular decisions.
Shanahan at 12 is best case scenario for us i agree. Especially if our first pick is 15

Difference is one showed the ability to accumulate this season.
From what I have seen FOS reminds me of Whitfield. Elite disposal off the hbf or midfield bringing team mates into the game .

Hotton is agile and dynamic but his kicking is average . Will he be agile and dynamic after his ACL injury?

Personally I'm hoping Lindsay slides

When you say people to whom are you referring because it seems this board is very much split on this off season and it’s success.

I think some are staunchly defending decisions the club have made and the merits as the see them with those who disagree.

Nothing wrong with that but when they continue to disagree or have an overly critical perspective they are labeled as bed wetters.

The bed wetters are those who are always without fail are leaning towards the worst possible outcome. And it's as if said worst outcome has actually happened.

When in reality that is yet to be proven and we wont really know for years.

Like we haven't even drafted anyone but they just assume whoever we pick won't make up for sliding 9 places in a strong deep draft.

They also tend to make silly sweeping statements that are easily refuted.

Debating different opinions is fine when the opinion isn't " everything that can go wrong has and will go wrong.....wo is me".

That isn't an opinion. It's a disturbed outlook on life the universe and everything.

Realistically:
FOS - injury prone/accumulation issues/bottom age star
Jagga - very small frame/question marks on damage of disposal
Draper - Poor decision maker/some injury concerns

Are the pick 3’s we are melting about missing out on, it isn’t a good draft at the top end, the gap between 3 and 12/15 is minimal.

Draft getting so close, having trouble to stay focused at work lol.

Leaning towards the worst possible outcomes ?

Its called pattern recognition .

I'm logging off work early, going to pick one of the kids up, going to try avoid bigfooty until at least the start of the draft. The next two and a half hours till 87pm are going to be painful.

Certainly feels like we have to wait until 87pm
