Asgardian yes Jackson Williams would qualify easily.

Found the specific rule

Until 31 October 2017, Port Adelaide can select any player whose father has made 200 SANFL appearances prior to 1997 for the Port Adelaide Magpies, North Adelaide, West Adelaide, Central District, Woodville or West Torrens.

Stephen Williams 1979-1995 269 Games

If we had to trade to get value for value...

First name I would put on the table probably would be moore

He has some currency...and well with ollie and boak I would trade him for some speed

If the price is wrong yeah probably..

I am just saying if we have to pony up some value moore would be it for me...that's if its what he wants to go too

The more I think about it the more I love the idea of Chapman.
He would come cheap and we have room on our list for a veteran.
He may only get to play 4 or 5 games a year and for only one or two years at that, but for someone like Moore it would be like a budding artist getting private tutoring from one of the greats. Absolutely invaluable.

Who wants to start a petition to Hinkley? :p

My first name also as many would know but seriously another failed year buy the class of 2009 and they wont be worth a cold pie....Butcher,Pittard,Moore.
All have shown glimpses of form over the 4 years at the club and to be fair they have all had injury problems in that time, Butcher came with injury.
There comes a time when you have to draw a line in the sand:),because next year if they are at the same stage we will not get nothing for them
I am not saying dump all 3 at once but at least see what these sort of guys are worth during the trade.

We should bring in Chapman and justify it using the 'Josh Gibson' rule. Gibson was the one player Buddy couldn't handle so what did Hawthorn do? Trade the prick in.

Chapman was on one leg and he still kicked 4.2 against us.

It's arguably the best season they have produced, finall Pittard strung games together, Moore played more and more midfield time and when he did play SANFL his performances were good and Butcher had multiple games in the league side and in the SANFL he had multiple games with 6 shots on goal!

To trade them now would be very Richmond like, it's past the point of trade for value, that was be jacobs last year and that didn't turn out well.

We now need to suck and see! No point Chris Groom/Andrew McLeod type deals!

Butcher can not make our side even when he is fit , i wanted to see him in during the finals but even with us crying out for a KF he was overlooked .

If Butcher was as good as all the hype that came with him and he played up to that hype after 4 years at the club we would have buried Geelong on friday night.

The way Chappy played on Friday night Geelong are going to have to squeeze as many years out of him as they can because they would be in deep .... without him.
No Chapman, No Hawkins no prelim for Geelong.
It was their experienced players that dragged them over the line, whereas with us it was our younger players that almost dragged us over the line.

You think Moore and Pittard had a failed year this year? As Hinkley said, every person on our list took a step forward this year. Maybe just a little step, but it was still progress. I'll rate his opinion over yours just quietly.

...
Fk me. I know that agree or disagree we are supposed to respect everybody's opinion but the above is really pushing it.

Butcher did make our side, played 7 games! You say we needed another key forward bit Collingwood and for half of the Geelong match, the opposition would say our forward structure worked very well...

240volt's been pushing that barrow for years. Moore, Pittard and Butcher could share the Brownlow three ways next year and he'd probably still be complaining that Jake Melksham is better because he's played more games or some other bullshit. He was a big fan of Ben Jacobs when we drafted him though :)

Then again, I notice he's quietened down on bashing the club for drafting Boak and Hartlett lately. That was an especially fun argument. We shouldn't have picked Hartlett because of his pre-draft injury issues, but we should have picked Selwood coming off of a knee reconstruction over Boak. Thankyou Captain Hindsight.

Daniel Stewart cramping up before 3 qyater time, ha thy there sums up his career, never worked ars enough to get fit enough or add bulk, nor applied himself to get through a game... An AFL listed player, playing this late in the year should be supremely fit to part time footballers
