I can just picture the scene:

"The Allan Border medal, in recognition of their being the least crappy in a team that is excessively crappy, goes to..."

Honestly, it is an indictment on Australian cricket at the moment that a trophy for being the most improved in the U10's would have as much symbolic value at the moment.

They should seriously call this off, would just be a joke

Agreed, then we would know that the ACB are serious about fixing the current malaise in our system.

They'll pump it up as a night to focus on emerging young talent, re-build and inspire and all that crap.

I know it may surprise a few to see a few of these names, but a couple of decent performances can vault you up the leaderboard very quickly. Plus many would have forgotten the series in NZ and Pakistan in England by now.

It is almost unfair that you can get as many votes for taking 4/168 and a 50 as you can for taking 10fer in an innings win.

Haddin getting 2 votes for a 1st dig 5 then some plucky but futile resistance in the 2nd dig at melbourne.

This is why the Brownlow is more meaningful... you don't get votes for doing average in a team that got pounded!

...will be retrospectively awarded to Damien Martyn (for 2004) after little Clarkie robbed it from him (with some cheap ODI hundreds) and a pathetic ****sucking media campaign. Also after declaring he was the right man for No.4 (after his 'good' mate just got sacked), 6 years later, he continues to fail at 4 and must hide away at 5.
