The thread worked pretty well last time IMO. I would still appreciate if posters could keep me up to date on any changes that need to made to the list as well the source (like in the other thread). I may miss something.

Plus if the thread is locked, I don't think I can update it. Pretty sure only the mods can change it.

Schache looks to have signed a 3-year deal according to this:

http://www.news.com.au/sport/afl/te...l/news-story/03f7436b97e8c53d1a04000748e1a816

The former Brisbane Lion, listed at 96kg this season, arrived at the Bulldogs this week not only leaner but with a huge base of off-season running under his belt. In his first session the Dogs were clearly impressed by his running capacity after trading for him in the final minutes of trade period.

It is understood the 20-year-old has signed a three-year deal at the Dogs, who this week signed up free agent Jackson Macrae until 2022.

2018:
Matt Suckling - Delist
Mitch Wallis - Re-sign
Luke Dahlhaus - Re-sign
Zaine Cordy - Re-sign
Clay Smith - 2018 performance dependent. Re-sign 1 year if below 2016 standard.
Tom Campbell - Tough one... I like BTC but I don't see a long-term role for him in our side. Delist, sadly.
Tom Liberatore - Re-sign
Mitch Honeychurch - 2018 performance dependent. Re-sign if improvement shown.
Jordan Roughead - Another tough one. Dependent on English/Toyd/Schache performance. Strong clubman, re-sign.
Shane Biggs - Re-sign
Tory Dickson - Delist unfortunately. Love Tory but the game is getting too fast for him.
Fergus Greene - Don't know much about him, re-sign I guess.
Kieran Collins - Hasn't shown much improvement and seems to have struggled at VFL level. Delist if no improvement shown.
Dale Morris - Retire unless he wants to go on and is still the same old Moz
Lin Jong - Re-sign
Brad Lynch (R) - Re-sign, I think he has some real raw potential.
Nathan Mullenger-McHugh (R) - Another idk much about. Re-sign?

That's potentially 6 players off our list heading into 2019, could make a few moves in the offseason and fill a few gaps. Think 2019 will be our strongest side for a while.

Suckers will re-sign, Lynch will need to be upgraded/delisted then re-rookied next year. Pending his performance, would upgrade him. Honeychurch is a delisting candidate but the rest look fairly spot on I would say.

Moz and Dickson to retire, throw in a few trades for Honey, BTC and i'll be happy.

Why would you delist Suckling and keep Greene on the basis you don't know too much about him, thank God you aren't the list manager.

As I have written elsewhere, I think our list is very strong now and we are in a window of opportunity for 1-3 years. Therefore, I could see as little as 3 going off the list at the end of 2018, the minimum for the draft.

Morris will retire at the conclusion of the 2018 season (and go on to a lucrative assistant coach career as Matt Boyd has commenced on - the 'Pies were very smart picking him up).

I think also Dickson may "be retired" at the conclusion of the 2018 season.

That leaves one more and who knows who? BTC may get a contract at another club (3rd or 4th round pick swap), maybe Honey likewise if he can eke out another 6 senior games - although if he is good enough to do this in a strong side, perhaps he should be retained?

The big worry is RFA players who will be very attractive to other clubs - who is in that list?

Following up, is our at risk RFA list comprised by:

Luke Dahlhaus
Mitch Wallis
Tom Liberatore
Jordan Roughead
Lin Jong

???

All too go to be let go in my opinion. It is a worry.

I’ve stated many a time why Suckling is not AFL quality, I’d keep Greene on the proviso that we didn’t need to free up a spot for someone, depending on if he can break into the side this year.

But you’re right, praise the lord.

Question please guys, I know Murray Rance played for your mob, and I have recollections of him playing against Port in one of those Will's cup games in 1976, but someone else has told me he didn't arrive at Footscray until the mid 1980's.
Can anyone tell me the seasons he played and how many games? :thumbsu:

From a quick google search - 40 games played, 1986-87.

At this stage I'd say Roughy and Jongy might struggle. Depending on what Dickson can do in the last couple of games of the year he may be playing for his career as injury really seems to be getting the better of him regularly. Shane Biggs has had a stinker of a year so not sure where that leaves him and we haven't seen Tom Campbell at all.
