Losing Legdon as 5th tall could impact our forward line also.
The hill you'll die on is expecting McGovern to play more than 12-14 games next year.

So he won’t play more than 14 games, but he’ll kick 50 goals if we play him forward.

He'll play more games up forward and be injured less than if he plays down back.....yes makes total sense. Not hard to fathom.

Moreover, if we had JD OA and JM, who does the best defender take. we don't need him down back anymore. If we don't get mids and a game plan that ensures we have more supply going forward, then the backline going to peppered again all year. This in of itself will guarantee he breaks down again.

West Coast, because this year we sure as s*** saw far more action in our back line than our forward line this year.

Explain the rationale of why Gov would be more of an injury risk down back than up forward?
Aside from the likelihood he will get more work down back due to our current midfield, in which case it defies logic to put our multi AA Backman up forward to sit around like a stale bottle of piss.
I'm not totally against trying Gov up forward if it helps with team balance but saying he is a dead cert for 50 goals and will only get injured down back and is a one trick pony ( that trick being collecting AA gerseys) is an interesting take.

If we take Busslinger I don't mind putting mc govern forward. He won't be as impactful but that just means we finish a little lower on the ladder and I've heard the top 3 in next year's draft are very good. Mc govern could rest more forward as well which would be good for his old legs and plump physique.

Just rest Gov in the forward line for the next five seasons then bring him back to dominate across the halfback line in our run to the 2028 flag.

We could probably set him up with a recliner in the forward line, you cant get injured if you dont even need to stand up.
