Were not a Vic club bringing home a favourite son? but maybe we get permission, but it means missing out of a potentially good player next year from SA.Geelong got around it.
And why can’t we use a future first?

So we can use a future first. CoolWere not a Vic club bringing home a favourite son? but maybe we get permission, but it means missing out of a potentially good player next year from SA.
Don't know we have to beg the AFL for permission,So we can use a future first. Cool
Don’t run around in circles man.Don't know we have to beg the AFL for permission,
not running around we have used our 3rd and 4th rd, picks, meaning we need the AFL permission to use our 1st rd next year. not my rules.Don’t run around in circles man.
Yes we do and yes we should.
Milera, Galluci and Fogarty plus could be a core.
Kane went quiet pretty quickly aswellTredrea's comment is gold
He's the anti-Kane
Geelong got around not using a certain amount of 1st in a number of years, not trading a future 1st after trading other future rounds.Geelong got around it.
And why can’t we use a future first?
What's happening at Port the last 2 years is twice as bad as anything that has been blown up by the media at the CrowsI dont mind that Port and their media sycophants want to cover up the party boy culture at their club.
It is a big part of why they have not won a Final since 2014 and their overall malaise since 2007.

The issue is you're expecting places like CrocMedia to report facts. They're tabloid journalists who will trade favourable coverage for access. We don't give them the access, so we're on the hit list until we do.What's happening at Port the last 2 years is twice as bad as anything that has been blown up by the media at the Crows
I'm glad I'm not the only poster with this opinionThe issue is you're expecting places like CrocMedia to report facts. They're tabloid journalists who will trade favourable coverage for access. We don't give them the access, so we're on the hit list until we do.
Given both clubs respective poor seasons, questions should have been asked equally of both clubs by the media. What's happening at Port the last 2 years is twice as bad as anything that has been blown up by the media at the Crows
Media of the 2000s and from now on.. They're tabloid journalists who will trade favourable coverage for access.
My belief is the Media had a vindictive approach to the Crows ....wouldn't accept anything that the club said, until an independent arbitrator came in ...but I still sensed in Manure's interview with Fagan, which I have to say was pretty "frosty" ...that Manure still wasn't accepting of what he was being toldGiven both clubs respective poor seasons, questions should have been asked equally of both clubs by the media.
I don't have issue about the media going hard with us, because our club leadership went missing & refused to be accountable. They performed badly with the messaging & should be brought to account.
However, there was relatively little questioning of how Port could miss the finals after being incredibly well positioned with 2 months to go. Honestly not fussed if they want to hush up their issues as more interested in fixing the problems at our club.
I couldn't care less about a load of CrocMedia as they are sensationalists that make up stories. My belief is the Media had a vindictive approach to the Crows ....wouldn't accept anything that the club said, until an independent arbitrator came in ...but I still sensed in Manure's interview with Fagan, which I have to say was pretty "frosty" ...that Manure still wasn't accepting of what he was being told
But no mention by Manure of Port ....either their loss of Wingard, Polec and a swag of others
It started with the drop of Newspaper Circulation numbers 10 years ago ....the tabloid headlines started as an attempt to boost circulation, but this has carried over by journalists in the on-line arena & radio, specializing in talk-back ....it's the "out there" commentary that gets irate supporters phoning in and provides the shows spark and interestMedia of the 2000s and from now on.
Its just not Croc, they happen to be the biggest player in town. 1000+ 'journos' accredited to the AFL and its easier on the inside than outside
Would have been a waste ...as nothing that was being said, was being believed ....and all they would have been doing was adding fuel to the fireI couldn't care less about a load of CrocMedia as they are sensationalists that make up stories.
However, our leadership in Fagan, Chapman & Burton did little & went missing when they needed to get on the front foot. They didn't need to go to a media outlet as could have released their own statements.
Meanwhile Tex & the players were copping it as an unnecessary distraction whilst desperately trying to get our season in track.
Good leaders are the ones who stand up when it gets tough.
Would have been a waste ...as nothing that was being said, was being believed ....and all they would have been doing was adding fuel to the fire
We did make statements, we did say there were issues, but everything had been sorted out with the players ....this was seen as a cover up, so nothing really could have been said to appease the Sharks
Trouble was that that was as deep as we went. It was Evasion 1.0 and everyone could tell something was up.Would have been a waste ...as nothing that was being said, was being believed ....and all they would have been doing was adding fuel to the fire

Evasive nothingness that only creates more questions."Everyone in the club is obviously having to review certain issues,’’ said Chapman. ‘‘Did we have a formal review? Yes we did and those findings will remain within the club. There are some things we would do differently and we’re not glossing over that.
‘‘There are learnings from it and there are certainly things we won’t do again. That's why I love doing reviews.’’
I agree, we are really led by some weak leaders, not unusual for SA i guess but very disappointing.I couldn't care less about a load of CrocMedia as they are sensationalists that make up stories.

It wouldn't have worked, more fuel on an already raging fire.I agree, we are really led by some weak leaders, not unusual for SA i guess but very disappointing.
When i heard Chapmans response to Williams comments re camp was to call the AFL and ask for an investigation i realised how non confrontational we are.
17 other CEOs would have been on the phone to double A calling them out.

For some reason, you and others believe you're entitled to be a "fly on the wall" and receive every single detail of everything that happens in the club .....there's not a Company or Organization in existence that details everything to what you wantTrouble was that that was as deep as we went. It was Evasion 1.0 and everyone could tell something was up.
What were the issues?
We would do some things differently next time. What things?
It's fair to say that some sessions in the camp didn't resonate. What sessions? Why didn't they?
There were some things players had problems with but they were dealt with. What were the things?
We delivered on the brief. What was the brief? If you delivered on the brief why are you parting ways?
Everyone is different and different cultures take things in different ways - Tex said something like this at some stage. What caused you to reach that conclusion?
This is the type of bullshit our moronic admin tried to dish up to 'hose down' the speculation:
Evasive nothingness that only creates more questions.
We gave no specifics about the problems which is why exaggeration, guesses and mistruths filled the blanks.
