Staying back at a hotel by the airport thanks to a gracious Tigers supporter from these boards
I'd drop your stuff off at the hotel, then either head to the city (the obvious option) or you could try somewhere like Newtown for a feed. There are plenty of restaurants and pubs there, and a train station to get out to Olympic Park later.

Hey guys, with parking around the ground, is there anywhere to sorta park for free/ cheapest. Last year I pre booked a ticket to the anz stadium car park for about $25 I think it was. Any other ideas or suggestions ? Might even consider taking my first uber ride if the price is right. Thanks all

Some people park in the residential streets around Concord West station, but that's a long walk back in the dark after the game. Personally I'd just park at the stadium for convenience. A return Uber/Taxi probably going to cost more than $25 anyway.

Backstreet off Parramatta Road

Birnie Street

Vare in mind though, it fills fast so get there early.

Cheers guys, looking at getting there early anyway, prob around 5ish then hang around have a feed and a few drinks before the game.

If you want drinks perhaps Lidcombe is better, plenty of parking around Strathfield, catch train from there.

how far is the train from anz, was hoping to be at anz earlyish. is there any pubs around within walking distance ?
1 overpriced pub @ ANZ. Go to Lidcome or Strathfield to drink cannot stress this enough. Trains from Lidcombe will then drop you off at the footsteps of ANZ. Or catch a cab/train from Strathfield.

Only one over priced pub at Olympic Park, better off drinking near Central,Strathfield or Lidcombe stations and catching a train direct from there to the ground.
Only a few mins walk from Olympic Park Station to the stadium.

Drink at Lidcombe. There is a big pub with a huge soccer ball on the top that is good and you can't miss.

Sprint station is at Olympic Park and trains go every 10 mins (maybe more frequent) to Olympic Park.

Ground is literally 100m from the Olympic Park station.

If you do park in the nearby streets keep an eye on the parking signs. If it says something about Event Zones, the bastards Will book you, even if its 10pm. $185ish I think

Park at lidcombe station, go to the pub then catch the train in and out of the ground
Parking at Lidcombe station itself isn't free, although much cheaper than $25. If you can find a spot on the streets that would be ideal.

Would be inclined to forget the car and just train from the Central to Olympic Park, numerous pubs around Central/Surry Hills.
If you really want to drive, some secured parking areas around Lidcombe (ie Council operated) but get in early.

Yeah well like I said the plan is to get their early (4.30-5) have a drink and a feed and then head into the ground

Plenty of parking off the streets near Rookwood cemetary, just a tip be ultra careful coming home as it is notorious for Police operations (speed and RBT) along the road off the station.
