Beau Waters had a body chiseled out of stone, spent most of his time injured and missed games.

McGovern has more cushion for the pushin' (an inbuilt air bag system if you will), and is able to overcome injuries to barely miss a game.

Being fit is over rated :p

He's mesmo .....there is three body shapes

He's got wide hips and shoulders that are as wide as his hips and carries weight in the middle area

He will never be a Greek god body

He can lower his fat % but honestly skin folds are overated in my view and I suspect why clubs didn't look too much

He's got that Jason dunstall build (tuck shop arms) but he can flat out play the game

What he has in footy smarts allows him to read the play and well and truly makes up for limitation in other areas

Despite his body shape ...he leaps well, is not slow and has great skills ...what's the problem ?

There is still room in our game for footballers of old Skool build

if the dogs don't bring an extra tall, i wouldn't mind us sending mcloving forward this week and try and make woods play on him.

Champion Data AFL ‏@championdata May 30
Jeremy McGovern is 19-1 from 31 one-on-ones. (61% win, 3% loss) Next-best of players with 20+ contests are 52%, 17%

That's incredible - the key being the 3% loss stat. Only losing 3% of one-on-ones is amazing, considering a draw in a defensive contest can be considered a win.
